I flew for the first time today. holy effff flying helicopters is fun. the required coordination is serious. as soon as I got the controls I banked HARD on accident lol. we fly with the doors off so when that happened I got a nice view of the ocean below. after about an hour I started to get the hang of it. cant wait to get good at this ****

What helicopters are you flying? I loved being a crewchief on UH-1's, those are the best helicopters ever flown!! Got a little flight time and nothing compares. Post up some pics if you get a chance.

BTW nice ******* view. We are in "gray" season here

Robinson R22. fun helicopter..real nimble and quick. take the doors off and its a hell of a time. 180 bhp to 850 lbs..hows that for power to weight!

I finally started to get hovering down on friday. that **** is ******* hard

That almost looks like a RC helicopter

Gotta be a helluva good time though. Doors off is the **** too. That's one of the few things I miss about the military. Using just you fingertips is the key for hovering, a little bit of input goes a long way. Have fun with it, life is good when you can make your living doing something you enjoy.
