Default How do i remove the door speakers to gain access to side view mirrors?

I have to take my mirrors off to install my new mirrors. but im not sure how to get the mach 460 tweeter out of the way? Does it just pop off by pulling on it? or is there more to it? I dont want to break anything so figured id ask people that might have removed these before?? Any help would be appreciated.

Pull the mesh grill off. Beneath that there's 1 screw and the whole assembly comes off.

does themesh grill pop off by pulling on it? I tried last night to pry it off, but it didnt seem to want to budge and I didnt want to snap anything? Does the door pannel need to come off first to gain access to a screw or something??

The mesh grill just pulls off. You may need to give it a little muscle because the glue that holds the cloth to the cover usually sticks to the speaker housing.

squeeze the edges a little. That usually helps.

Thanks for all the help guys, although the torch and sledgehammer didnt work :-) haha j/k I was able to get the tweeter out of the way and then had to take the door pannel off to unplug the wireharnes for the power mirrors. I now have my new m3 mirrors on the car :-) Thanks again for all the help...
