Default Hit a deer...

I was hungry and during my break from classes I decided to go to my mothers house for something to eat. I left and on my way back to the college this ******* **** deer runs out in front of me. I lock up the breaks and go into the other lane but it still hit me.

I need:
-two headlights
-passenger fender
-both hid's a broken
-my hood is fucked up a lil but I can't afford a new one so it's going to stay
-the bumper is messed up a little bit, but I don't feel like rolling with a cobra r bumper during snow season.

I don't feel like taking pictures with my camera now, but here are two pictures from my iphone that I took at the scene.

Damn, that really sucks. Deer are pretty unpredictable. There's not usually much you can do to avoid em.

Yeah I was pissed off at first and acting belligerent on the phone with the state boys, but then I looked at what ACTUALLY was damaged and it's not that bad. Used oem headlights are about 160, so I'm going with smoked clear conners, something I've always wanted, I'm going to have to use my old 4.3k silverstar headlight bulbs because both of my HID's were forcibly ejected from the rear of the headlight housing, I don't know how that happened. I don't have the money to buy new bulbs at the moment. I think Dustin said they're like 60 shipped. I'm going to go with 8k instead of 5k. My bumper is messed up by it's not cracked, just some serious thin scratches. The nose piece is broken and my hood is busted in some places, but the only thing I'm going to get fixed is my headlights.

Damn it seems a lot of people here are getting in front end accidents. It always sucks getting into an accident and dealing with getting it fixed.

@99MustangGT yeah dude, I was thinking of that. I read all these posts of people needing new bumpers, getting into accidents and **** and was like damn, I have to make sure I post something... lol

I'm going to get dark clear corner headlights tomorrow (going to order them at least) and try to fix what I can. I'm just going to rip off my bumper and see what else is fucked up. Also giving me an excuse to put on my cobra r bumper and see how that actually looks. :P

In the end it could have been worse, like any other story you've ever read. If I didn't swerve into the other lane, I would have smacked that ****-sucker dead on, or pretty damn close, and my whole **** would have been mother-fucked... big time.

Yeah. My dad and I bent my fender back up a little, took the bumper off, fixed the bumper support near the fender and took the busted nose piece off. I just ordered smoked clear corner headlights, something I've always wanted and a new nose piece. I'm going to buff out my bumper now. I'm just going to wait until I buy HID bulbs because the SilverStar headlights I had burned my reflector and the beam wasn't straight on both sides.

I took a bunch of pictures, I'll post them up once I'm done ******* around with my car.

Edit: What sucks is that I have those cobra r rims 17x9 and 17x10.5 and I bought front tires from AM like 3 weeks ago and I've been saving up for rear tires which are ~$260 shipped. But I did get lucky.

This is an example you give someone when they say, why hunt? Anyways sorry to hear about your car, I've been close a few times but never had the misfortune (knock on wood)

I feel your pain. Last November I hit a 6 point buck on my way to work and did almost $5k in damage. (pics are around here somewhere) I am old and have cheap insurance, so I got accident mods Old has it's advantages.

I noticed you broke your grille. I have one laying in the garage since I installed my Mach 1 delete. I would be happy to let you have it if you paid for the shipping.

Cats aren't that big of a deal, they go under the car for the most part. Dogs on the other hand weigh a considerable amount more than cats do... Oh, and they're like bumper height...

@99MustangGT Thanks bud, I'm not interested in it at the moment. You can barely tell that it's cracked unless you get close, and even then it's difficult. I'm going to leave it off the bumper for now and rock the poor mans grille delete.

@probiker427 Yeah it's typical animal + car = money but I got lucky, no chunks of my hood/bumper came off, my hood is messed up but just paint spidering or whatever you want to label it as and my fender is fucked up, but not to the point where it needs to be replaced at the moment. I need headlights to drive (who'da thunk?) and I needed the nose piece as you can tell by the pictures so it's on a "need" basis.

Hopefully, I plan on getting my fender fixed or a new one and a cobra r hood. If I need to buy something else, I might as well spend the money and buy what I want.

No problem, I understand. IMO no grill looks better than with one.

Yeah, someone alright. I just got all my stuff today. The nose piece and my headlights. The nose piece is heavy duty plastic and weights nothing. My headlights are just mouth sex. So nice. I have to seal them first and then buy some HID's from Spike whenever he comes on again. Does anyone have a number I can reach him by or something?

Good to here the good news for both of you.

I think the most important upgrade to a 99-00 stang is smoked headlights, it just completely changes the look of your car.

yeah that's good to hear Krazypony. Me and my dad installed the nose piece in about 2 minutes, granted everything was already taken off. My dad bent fender supports for the bumper in such a way so that it compresses what's left of the tabs for the bumper so that it stays tight and what not.

I'm going to have to rock my stock headlights because I'm afraid to use my silverstar untravision ones because they burn the reflector. I also bought clear marker lights, I think they're for the tail lights but I'll keep them in until they blow. I don't like the reflector being amber colored. :P I'll post pictures tomorrow if I have time.

With these new smoked clear corner headlights, how much dimmer will my light output be? I'm considering changing from my original 5k HID's to maybe 8k.

Could you post a link from where you bought them, so we know what they look like.

My smoked headlights, that I bought from AM, don't dim the light at all because the whole lens is clear. Just the inside of the headlight is smoked.

Comprende? Sorry if I'm confusing you.
