Default Blacked out tail lights / moved spoiler back

Check out the pics.

I moved my spoiler all the way back, and I blacked out my headlights with VHT nightshades.

I did 4 coats of vht and 3 coats of clear coat.

Looks good, you should get the black led 3rd brake light too.

Looks good, but they aren't very shiny for 3 coats of clear.

I have used vht before but mixed up some spot panel clear coat and cleared over the vht and it was really shiny. If he used rattle can clear that may be why it doesn't have the same gloss as what I used. It may have flashed too quick and lost some of it glossiness.

I had the taillight vinyl on my mustang until I spray tinted a friends cobra taillights. I ripped the vinyl off and sprayed mine after that. It made my vinyl's look dull, plus i didn't like how the vinyl's didn't go all the way to the edge of the light. I'm a painter though and using good clear coat so that may make a difference.

Moved back spoiler is the best on 99-00 GT's!

IMO this looks better...
i think completley blacked out tails on red cars looks dumb. ^^ 2 coats of vht nightshade + 3 coats of clear and a few wet sands with different grit sand paper.

Wait aren't the 1999 to 2001 the same models?

Yes and no... '99-mid '01 had a different spoiler (sort of similar to a Roush spoiler but a little smaller), some different interior options like the split CD, Tuner/Tape player, center console & cup holders were kind of crappy like the 94-98 models and I believe that the manual cars had the T5/T45 trans. where the later cars had the TR3650 (5 Speed)/T56 (Cobra).

I think there were a couple of other small differences too. If I'm remembering correctly the earlier cars had a different belt setup/alternator location and some other strange things like that.. Other than those things, the '02+ cars had options like the Mach 1000 stereo, sort of Mach1 style spoiler, etc..

I'm sure I'm missing a couple of things, but that's at least a few of the changes.

Edit: You also had the addition of the Hood scoop and Side scoops in mid-'01.

I feel like a complete noob now. I just knew that 99-01 were one style, 02 out of country style, 03-04 one style.
Sorry to hi-jack, but what's the difference between the 03-04 Cobra's?

'99-01 Cobras were pretty much all the same as far as I know, of course with the exception of the Cobra R.

'02 was basically a '99-01 Cobra, but with an extra set of fog lights and right-hand drive to be legal in Australia. (Only produced in Aussie land and I think there were only like 2-300 built.)

'03-04 Cobras had a lot of changes over the previous models. New IRS and upgraded supsension, they of course were equipped with a supercharger and a lot of other performance enhancers along with different body moldings, bumpers, hoods, etc..
