Blacked out tail lights / moved spoiler back
2 Attachment(s)
Check out the pics.
I moved my spoiler all the way back, and I blacked out my headlights with VHT nightshades. I did 4 coats of vht and 3 coats of clear coat. Attachment 16107 Attachment 16108 |
Looks amazing, i cant wait to work on mine over spring break!!!
|
Looks good, you should get the black led 3rd brake light too.
|
Looks good, but they aren't very shiny for 3 coats of clear.
|
+1 thats kinda why i didn't go with spray on tint n just bought the actual vinyl tint.

Eh the vinyl tint is still easier lol. no tail light removal or taping up of anything. And its always shiny :)

Eh to each his own i reckon. :D As long as you're happy, that's what matters in the end

Moved back spoiler is the best on 99-00 GT's!
|
Nice job man!
|
IMO this looks better... http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._8055141_n.jpg
i think completley blacked out tails on red cars looks dumb. ^^ 2 coats of vht nightshade + 3 coats of clear and a few wet sands with different grit sand paper. |
^^^ looks better than the other one

Wait aren't the 1999 to 2001 the same models?
I think there were a couple of other small differences too. If I'm remembering correctly the earlier cars had a different belt setup/alternator location and some other strange things like that.. Other than those things, the '02+ cars had options like the Mach 1000 stereo, sort of Mach1 style spoiler, etc.. I'm sure I'm missing a couple of things, but that's at least a few of the changes. Edit: You also had the addition of the Hood scoop and Side scoops in mid-'01. |
I feel like a complete noob now. I just knew that 99-01 were one style, 02 out of country style, 03-04 one style.
Sorry to hi-jack, but what's the difference between the 03-04 Cobra's? |

Sorry to hi-jack, but what's the difference between the 03-04 Cobra's? '02 was basically a '99-01 Cobra, but with an extra set of fog lights and right-hand drive to be legal in Australia. (Only produced in Aussie land and I think there were only like 2-300 built.) '03-04 Cobras had a lot of changes over the previous models. New IRS and upgraded supsension, they of course were equipped with a supercharger and a lot of other performance enhancers along with different body moldings, bumpers, hoods, etc.. |
**EDIT** I answered my own question
