Default Just played with my new camera.

I just got a Nikon D40 and tried it out. I thought I'd share a few shots. I have a lot to learn and could really use a tripod.

And the sunset as I was leaving.

Sweet pics dude, but you should have gotten a Canon! lol

When I end up going down there for a meet we'll have to do our own shoot for sure

Dont listen to PCola, the D40 stops everything canon makes for less than $1000.

lol

nice pics mang!

Bit of advice on the D40, when yer learning to shoot stick with P Mode and use the exposure adjustment as needed. Then start working at Shutter or Aperature priority. Manual is good for the trick shots, 90% of my shots are in A mode. For the love of got stay OUT of the portrait, landscape, action modes and such. lol

Great pics mang! Congrats on the camera! The D40 is a workhorse!

I have nothing against canon, my point and shoot is a Canon SD1000 but I got a good deal on the Nikon. All of those were just set on auto except the close up side shot which was Aperature specific mode.

Pics look great! Sky's a little washed out, but you're still getting the hang of it.
