Default cheap intake

i ran across some windstars this weekend while rummaging around the junkyard by my moms. i already had a solid black one pulled apart then i saw this one with the 3.8 split port labeling on it and took the time to take this one apart. got out of there for 26.00. probably pick up a lower for the same price next time im around there. then heads and i will be up for a splitport swap with a nice windstar upper on top. i know there is other stuff i need but these are the bulk of the cost i would imagine.

anyone have a split port 94-98 with windstar upper? the new angled throttle body spacer is suppose to let it fit under the stock hood.

Ive read some writeups about the windstar swap on 99-04's it's very do-able you just need to make your own bracket for the cables. Only thing I'm worried about is the egr fitting under the hood. I think that's what that is going on top by the throttle bottle.

Isn't a windstar intake one of the better, if not the best, intake for a 3.8?

It is one of the better choices, but requires more work than the others..

You may run into clearance issues with your hood

There is an angled throttle body spacer that vap sells that will allow install under stock hood but I'm not sure about the egr or whatever sits on top right behind the throttle body. I know you can delete it if u got a tuner but I'm going to try and find a way to relocate it.
