Track Day Pictures and Video Link
Here are a few pictures of my track day the other weekend. No really good pictures as the girlfriend is still trying to master the super advnced Kodak point and shoot camera. It was a really good weekend with good weather. I improved my driving a ton. I passed just bout everything in my run group except two Porshe 911 turbos. The videos have some footage of me passing a couple of Boxters and a Lotus. The car performed very well, suprisingly. It more than held its own on the track, my instructor was even impressed, which was nice to hear since he is a Porsche purist kind of guy. I was getting up to 130mph at the end of the straight, entering the big carosel at about 75, exiting at around 80-85, flat out around the kink, slow into the esses, and up to 60-70 for the short straight down to the double 90s, back up to 60-70, grants tomb at 40 or so and then the straight (for anyone familiar with Memphis Motorsports Park). The coilover helped eliminate a lot of body roll and the full Cobra brakes never faded once.

My instructor said I have the skills to move up in run groups but that he wanted me to have a different instructor with a different point of view to see how I can improve. In some of the pictures you can see an R32 Golf, it was actually in the more advanced run group. I had no trouble keeping up with him and probably could have passed him and put some distance between us but the goal of the weekend wasn't to pass people but to learn. And I learned a lot about car control, placement, safey. Anyone around the Tennesse area should look into the Mid-South PCA driver's event, its great.

Thanks, it's kind of hard to hear it because of all the wind. If it wern't for the comunication boxes that my instructor and I used it would have been impossible to hear each other. Thats why is doesn't seem to be much going on between us, were talking the whole time but with little microphones and ear buds.
