The wife and I drove down to Carmel for a night this past weekend. Here are some pics I took. By the way, the drive down the coast is one of the best drives ever.

I am in serious need of one of those... What do you call them? Vacations. Yes, one of those. I feel like at some point over the next month or so, my brain is officially going to turn to mush and spill out of my nose & ears.

Thanks man. Yeah a little vacation was much needed, plus it was our anniversary. Too bad the water is cold as hell, but the weather hit the 90's this past weekend and made for a sweet trip on the coast.

 

Those are some of the most beautiful pictures I've seen in a long time. Definitely among the best I've ever seen on this site. That first picture is gorgeous. It makes me want to say '**** you work' and drive to the Atlantic.

I love the ocean. I would never live in a state where I couldn't get to a beach in less than an hour or two.

Thanks for the compliments. I can't remember the last time I visited the coast and there was no fog or anything. It was in the high 80s/low 90s and just beautiful out. If you guys want to see a sweet drive, youtube or look up pictures of Highway 1 along Carmel and Big Sur. Can't find many other drives that beat it.

Hell yeah...I used to live a 1/4mi from Union reservior. It's probably the closest thing to an ocean beach in Colorado..

I live five minutes from the beach and about to move three blocks from it... Sorry suckas. The beach is my favorite place to be.

 

This is why I love Cali. Sure we have shitty smog laws and things of that nature, but we have so much around. How many other places can you be driving down the coast along the water and then within miles be in a nice redwood forest. You can go from camping in the forest to swimming at the beach within a matter of minutes. Good stuff.
