There was a green one that still ran and was completely stock from the lot in 1970 in my town that was for sale for maybe $7500? I would've snatched that up if I could've afforded it. Just had faded paint...I'm pretty sure it had >100k miles too.

Deputy, I know where there is a super clean 69 Mach for sale for $30K. The 69's look a little meaner than the 70, with the four headlights and the quarter panel scoop just behind the door. I would gladly take either! The guy also has a 67 or 68 Shelby GT500.

either that place is charging way too much for it's cars and price gouging, or the prices for old cars like that is getting highly inflated. a huge turn off for me. i will stick to my car, thank you.

Hell yea, it is. I remember watching Barrett-Jackson a few years ago, and thinking - Holy ****! WTF are these guys smoking? 100K for that? I was thinking that they were totally ruinning any remote possibility of owning one in the future, as the prices seemed outrageous. I mean, if John Doe sees a 66 Fastback go across the block for 60K, he thinks his is a 60K car.
The fact is that the VAST majority of ALL those cars you see, the owner is losing money. Alot of those cars, you could not build it for what they sell for, and that is not considering any time and effort involved.
The classics that are un-molested, you're gonna pay for that too.
