At least it looks sweet when I drive it.....

Stephen4036 02-08-2009 10:45 PM

that looks totally different than the others u posted.

Dave04Mustang 02-08-2009 10:51 PM

yeah something isn't right. My car looks lower and i've never lowered it. Your before pics looked like someone put a truck lift kit mine never looked that 4x4. Weird

Mr. Zip 02-08-2009 10:54 PM

Yeah the last pic ^^ up there is one my friend took that day. I took the others. I hate how high my car is O.o

Steeda97 02-09-2009 08:44 AM

do you need a ladder to get into that thing?

just busting your balls. but yeah, definitely something wrong there. lol.

01FR500 02-09-2009 10:45 AM

Sits way too high. I really can't tell a difference from the before and after. Are thoes 17 inch rims or 18 inch? And what is the sidewall heigth of the tires?

yellowstang99 02-09-2009 10:52 AM

Thats higher now than my car was stock. I say take the springs out and cut at least a coil out of them and make sure they are installed in the right spots. This last pic you posted only looks low because you are making a hard turn shifting the weight of the car to the drivers side where the pic was snapped...

Steeda97 02-09-2009 11:03 AM

I'd check my installation before I cut coils.

Yes, definitely check installation first. If all else fails you can start cutting but that is last resort if installation is correct and you don't want to order different springs. I cut my eibach sportlines 1/2 coil in the front to get the look I want. What springs are on the car?

Black Sunshine 02-09-2009 11:34 AM

I too, realized that the first two pictures were taken before the spring install and the last two were taken after. I don't notice that much of a difference between stock and lowered.

Mr. Zip 02-09-2009 11:40 AM

Alright, I checked the install and everything went in like it's supposed to. What's the procedures/cautions with cutting the springs? Is it a do it yourselfer?

yellowstang99 02-09-2009 11:44 AM

If you have the funds, I would buy some H&R Super Sports, and try and sell the eibachs before cutting...

Mr. Zip 02-09-2009 11:47 AM

^ Funds are exactly what I don't have anymore...

Plus I really wouldn't be able to get CC plated or shocks and struts yet either. College is expensive:(

Stephen4036 02-09-2009 12:30 PM

get a refund from AM, they sold u bad springs... lol eibachs lower ur car a good bit.. not sure what went wrong.

PColav6 02-09-2009 12:54 PM

Yeah that's not right, with a prokit you should only be able to fit like 3 fingers between the tire and the fenderwell.

Black Sunshine 02-09-2009 12:56 PM

I don't think even AM would take them back after they have been installed on a vehicle, but it's worth a try.

the gillz 02-09-2009 01:14 PM

just let it sit, the springs may just need to settle in to get the final drop height. Ride around with a few fat chicks for a while that might speed things up

Lazerred6 02-09-2009 01:21 PM

When I lowered mine we did before and after measurments and the car was higher after the "drop" than it was stock but thats because I had 9 year old springs. After a week or so the new springs settled and I was about .5 lower than before which was about an inch down from what I imagine it was when it came out of the factory so give them a chance

Steeda97 02-09-2009 01:56 PM

Mine dropped like 2 inches with a pro-kit. It was instantly noticeable.

You sure everything is ok? It looks like you stacked two springs on top of one another. lol.

08mustang_gt 02-09-2009 02:14 PM

Yea Eibachs are super low from what I've seen before. Like ^^^^ you should see a huge drop, not only 0.5". Take them off, sell on ebay and get H&R SS...

Mr. Zip 02-09-2009 05:12 PM

Well, it must be the isos. I took the fronts out and it was another 5/8s inch drop...

Justin99gtconv 02-09-2009 05:28 PM

Do the new isos have a groove cut for the spring pigtail? I have prokit springs in this pic of my old car. you should have noticed the drop instantly.I think they sent you F-250 springs

redfire04 02-10-2009 06:51 PM

I could be wrong but aren't eibach springs progressive rate? If so after you put some miles on them they will continue to drop a bit.

spike_africa 02-11-2009 11:04 AM

That sits higher then my car and I just have bullit springs with no bottom ISO's in the front.

SLP02GT 02-11-2009 12:47 PM

First off if you got polyurethane iso's they will be higher than the stock rubber ones. I would take the iso's out due to the fact they are there only to stop squeaks. 2nd are you sure you lined the pigtails on the bottom of the spring correctly i.e is the fronts down in the spring cup groove on the control arm and is the rear pigtails facing the right way? My Eibachs dropped my car atleast 2" and my Ford racing C springs dropped my 02 atleast 1.5". It looks like you got drag launch springs. There is something definately wrong yes springs do settle after a few days but those are just not going to. Other than that your car looks great man

Steeda97 02-11-2009 01:07 PM

epic fail lol.

You're having too much fun with these O/R Mustangs

Mr. Zip 02-11-2009 02:10 PM

Bahaha nice Pcola. Well, the problem is def working itself out. The front dropped another 5/8's of an inch and another half inch in the back since the pics. I took out the front isos and I'll do the backs later

Cool, take some new pics when you get it figured out. Are you taking the upper and lower isolators out??? I would..
