Jacks HDR stang

yeah dude, dig the dodge pic.
thing about HDR, it makes up for what is lacking in skill. i'm not saying you are unskilled...I'm just saying HDR is like when those kids on myspace take pics of themselves and add an "artistic" filter and think they are hot artistic photo ****. An HDR every now and then is cool, but get real good at taking non HDR photos.

Lol, no offfence taken and i agree with you 100%
Camping was awesome though, it gave me some time to check out varuious things and try different tricks and work on my photography skills and i learned a lot over the weekend. Im trying to get away from the preset modes and go with the manual setup functions, but i have varied success.
Im really learning a lot about this camera, i have most of the functions figured out even the more advanced ones, now it is just gaining the experience on how to use it in the best manor possible.
HDR is very much a plug and play gimic, it is very visually rewarding without a lot of effort, but then it also seems a bit empty compared to getting a real good shot. It gets boring fast.
Here are some shots i took that i like.
I dont know what it is about this one, but i like how it came out.

In this pic, you have the exit round on the 2nd tree that a .223 round out of an AR-15 made, the first tree it went through is in the middle, and the lighter area is the first exit point. Shot through 2 trees,. each a foot in diameter.

I went with my buddy, his bro and his ol man. His dad is a cop, been in the force for around 26 years or so and has quite a gun collection.
Hey, remember about 2-3 years ago when there was all that **** going down in Westminster PD for the excessive force and the captain of the SCAT team was forced to retire or face charges? yeah that was him.
it was all a bunch of BS though, he finally got cleared of all that and is now a cop again.

The truck would have to be immaculately clean as it was driving on a dusty dirt road for it to be commercial-worthy. I'm talking tire shine and all. lol

jack the pics are coming along very nice. I am definitely a fan of the water one as well as the "ford commercial" one. I myself have yet to shoot any water portraits but I really want to just to have fun with long exposures and seeing the water get all misty.
oh and that definitely is the best pic of your stang I have seen.

Ill defaintly get another one... Right now the only debt i have is the mustang and the mortgage. Ill drop myself about 3.5-4grand in debt selling the mustang, but ill free up damn near $500 a month. So once i sell the stang, im gonna get that debt cleared back out, then im gonna look into saving up and getting an SUV, maybe a ford exlorer V8 cause they are dirt cheap now. All we have is a Saturn SL2, my 84 civic, and the Mustang. A bigger car would be nice. After all that, i plan to save up and try to find a decent 89-92 Mustang 5.0 and start sooping it up. I like mustangs way too much to be done with them, but at this point i really need to put that money to better uses. Man, i had a guy tell me on monday he wanted to buy my car, he drove up on tuesday and absolutly loved it, said he also was checking out a 2005 V6 Vert with 10k on the odometer that evening, but was pretty sold on my car.Havent heared from him since. sure is frustrating trying to sell, people are just dicks, they come in, check it out, take up your time, and dont even have the ******* courtesy to call you and say they went with something else.

I know. I'm really surprised it's taking so long for it to sell though, I've had and sold 7 or 8 cars and the longest I've ever had a car on the market is two months. Usually my cars sell within two weeks. Are you listing on craigslist, autotrader, cars, newspaper and all that?

yeah I had that same problem with my V6 when I was selling it. Lots of tire kickers, and people who want to test drive it, and say they will call you back the next day or so....a week later still nothing. very frustrating stuff.

that was the killer right there.
its all good though, he did come through and offered 14,500. i was asking 15,000
im gonna take it.
ill be clearing out anotherr $14.5k worth of debt, ill just have about $4,000 to pay off then im 100% debt free with exception of the mortgage.

What kind of ******* looks at a V6 just to test drive it..it's not like they are fun to drive. lol

people are stupid, half of them probably thought it was a V8, till they hit the gas, lol.

18, well 19 soon. But yeah, I know that's a ton of cars for my age. Let's see if I can count them off...
1997 Toyota 4-Runner (had for about six months)
1990 Geo Tracker (had for about five months)
1985 Buick Regal (had for a little over a year)
1996 Ford Bronco (Eddie Bauer edition - 'Twas sweet, and I still miss the thing...had for 7 months)
1977 Chevy Monte Carlo (had for almost 10 months...big hunk of junk)
1999 Mustang v6 (had for a little over six months)
2004 Mustang Mach 1 (So far nearing six months)
So seven...I might have missed a car though, I forget. It started with the 4-Runner I got when I was 15 for $100 from an old HS counselor (had a lot of body damage). Sold it for $4500 after fixing the dents and other things. Mom spent $2000 of that $4500 on the Geo to surprise me...and that it did. I hated the thing and still do to this day. I spent $1500 of the remaining $2500 on the Buick, put a roll cage in it, and was working on rebuilding the engine for racing at the local track. Then I ran out of money so I sold the Geo (thank god), and my friends dealership was selling this Bronco that was mechanically perfect with 109,000 miles....That thing was a beast, it was the only car getting around town when Colorado was hit with that huge blizzard in '05/'06. Long story short, battery cable shorted out on the starter solenoid and caught the thing on fire. Put out the fire, brought it to my other buddies body shop because of things shooting through the hood. Another long story short, some employee backed into it. So after getting the bad end of the stick with that place, and having two bad problems with the truck in two weeks I sold it for $4000. Bought the mustang for some amount of money, at that point I forgot how much I paid, and spent $600 on the Monte Carlo a few months later for a project. Put in a roll cage, rebuilt the 350, put in new gears, and transmission. But then I sold the sixer for the Mach and wanted it in the garage and the Monte had gotten to the point of just taking up space so I let it go. Somehow I sold it for $1200 with about 8 extra sets of tires, 9 wheels, 4 wheel/tire combos, 3 carburetors, and a bumper. Once my garage was free I put the Mach in there and haven't bought or sold any cars since April.
I'm also leaving Colorado in January to attend Wyotech, then when I get back I want to buy an old beater and turn her into a racecar again. I enjoy that stuff.

That Geo really sucked, because I had that my sophomore year in HS and people would always pick it up and move it. The whole thing weighed less than 400lbs w/o me, so three or four of my friends would move it and put it into a ditch or something. It also had a broken window hatch in the back, so people would steal my stuff all of the time. And when I'd go on the highway, I'd hit 75mph and it'd start tilting back where the front wheels were literally floating off of the ground.

Lol... this is my daily driver... weighs next to nothing. so far i havent been airborne and i usualy bawl *** about 90mph on the highways... for some reasonc ops radar guns just dont seem to ever pick it up.
they probably figure im an illegal alien or some **** and dont want to **** with the paperwork so they let me haul ***. hahahaha
