I would. And what program do you use for them?

I really wish my camera could better change aperature, then I could make some of my own, but unfortunately, I cannot.

I'm using Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, and here is my first attempt at HDR. (Just heard about this for the first time yesterday.)

The first photo is the original. The second is the darkened, and the third is lightened. The fourth image is the result.

---would appreciate feedback/tips---

yeah the white looks almost like chalk...yeah these are more like brightness...

try playing with photomatix, you can use it fully but get a watermark.

As far as the HD deal goes, I'm not actually turning images into High Deff. images, I'm merely playing with brightness, contrast and color saturation to attempt to bring out more detail. These pictures really didn't do that well with the options I have available in Paint Shop X2. I'm trying to avoid making everything blindingly bright, while trying to retain the original image, while increasing saturation - attempting to not pixelate the product. I even tried doing an HDR of that third image to bring anything out, and it turned out really grey and fizzy.

Sorry that it took me three days to respond. I've been busy. The first one came out a little too bright, might go back to fix that later if you'd like.

Clean up your car, take a picture of it after reading that car-picture-how-to thread thing, and post it. With your red-ish/burgundy color you've got, I'd take a picture on the top of a city parking garage at sunset with the fading sun just out of the lens. The orange and yellows would bring out the color of your car.
IMHO

Where are you from Crimson? I can probably look up a few nice places for a photo shoot. Then bring your camera, or your friends camera take a few pics and send them to me. Love the sunset pics.

Yo man, i'm sorry but what you are calling HDR is not truely an HDR and it shows it. To acquire a true HDR shot, you need multiple shots in different exposures. You then merge these layers with programs like Photomatix and sometimes in Photoshop but Photoshop doesn't do as good of a job. Also, You can't increase the quality of a picture from its original quality at its true resolution. All you can do is sharpen it up which can be overdone and increase the contrast and stuff. I'm not hating on you or anything, I'm just stating the facts...

What I am doing is using the HDR merge effect in Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 taking a median image, the dulling and brightening them to achieve a mock HDR. Obviously, not all people have the ability to change exposure rates with their little GE/Cybershot/Powershot-type cameras, so I do what I can with what I've got.
