Next time i see the loser ill take a pic of him, yesterday he comes hauling up the street in mommys loaded suburban while my stepson and my neighbors 7 year old kid were playing in the end of the culdesac, they even had cones set up to warn people kids are playing (we live at the end of a long culdesac)
anyways, my neighbor damn near pulled him out of the suburban and kicked his ***, the kid was in the verge of tears getting bitched out. The funny thing is my neighbor is in no way scary, he is a goofy tool.
As for the *** this guy is pulling in, he is apparently banging the daughter of one of my other neighbors, and she is ugly as hell, just like those godawful rims he has on his car.

You know what i compare that car to?
A beautiful woman with so much makeup she looks like a french *****. The entire appearance is ruined by tacky styling.
I'd be more than happy to hit it after the makup has been toned down a bit.
Just as i would be happy to drive the car once i get rid of the rediculous rims

I'm pretty sure if you drove thatcar around wit thouse rims on there u would get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy more compliments than a person wit the same car wit stock rims on it. U guess should chill not every one out there visits American muscle.com nor do they car if u don't like big rims. Most people out there do, and if your looking for compliments when u get a car, do u think u would get more wit buying a car and putting 17s on it or a car wit 20s on it......get the picture.

ok, lets go to the poll...umm everyone in this thread besides you hates the rims....so saying everyone out there loves big rims, when here with in a group of ~20 respondents only 1 likes them leads me to believe most people aren't up for ruining a beautiful corvettes styling with ghetto *** 22's.

Now yes certain cars can pull of larger rims, but the body and dimensions of the car must be much larger then that of a stingray corvette, it is a small sleek dimensioned car that deserves fitting rims, things like Bentleys and escalades and all those types of cars can pull off larger rims because they are larger vehicles. However it still stands the rim design of the ones pictured here are UGLY!!!
It's the same reason people with 94-04 mustangs only run up to 18'' rims since usually(not all) look best with 18's or 17's. However since the 05+ body style is bigger over all they pull off up to 20's really well. It's all about proportions!

On that note, I was watching a design conference some years back and one of the chief designers of the Bentley Continental GT (ostensibly one of the best looking cars ever, especially for its size) stated; and I'm paraphrasing here, regarding tire/wheel proportion:
...a wheel and tire combination should have a specific set of proportions compared to the rest of the car. I think that you think that lots of people like big rims just because you do. All of my friends point and laugh and only one of them drives a mustang. Just the other day I saw a guy in a camaro with 22's I could tell because he has replace the RS on the side with 22. I looked at his rims and he nodded at me like he thought I was admiring his ugly **** so I pointed and laughed he got a sad look on his face flipped the bird and drove away. This was a clear sign that he wanted the rims just to get attention.
unfortunatly big rims were in for awhile but some people didn't get the memo when they went out again

Those might look good on an escelade or something because the escelade is big enough where the wheels look correct on it.
Charges and Magnums look great with the 20-22 inch rims. I bet thge new challanger will look good with 20's. The new mustangs look good with 20's, however 20's on mine look rediculous.
the point yer missing is that nobody here has a problem with big rims, i see plenty of cars that look FANTASTIC with 20+in rims, however you cant just slap 22inch rims on any car out there and expect it to look good, you have to MATCH the rims to the car..
the ONLY exception to that in my view are Donks, then the bigger the better. 36's bitchez!

horrible looking rims on the slowest, ugliest generation corvette there is imo, except for the slowest part, that really is the slowest generation vette. but if its got a crate motor thats a different story...

I can't say much about the wheels, because I have honestly seen much worse. They are definitely not beefy enough though, they arent proportioned right with the car.

Actually it was one of the slowest "modern" vette's made. Big, Heavy, and fairly slow. It went against eveything that the Vette was originally meant to be, light, no frills and fast, but it actually helped pave the way for the long sexxy Corvette that we have today.
Now, ugly.. That is in the eye of the beholder, and IMO it was one of the best looking models ever made.
I can't say much about the wheels, because I have honestly seen much worse. They are definitely not beefy enough though, they arent proportioned right with the car.

I read somewhere that for a few years the sting rays were more aerodynamic going in backwards than forwards

I dare you to drive through the eastern side of my town with those rims. When I say I'd be "shot dead", I literally mean that someone would shoot me dead. If you don't believe me, maybe you should throw some dubs on your whip and try it.
