Default Oh BTW, I almost got smashed.

I forgot to tell you guys that a while back I was almost invloved in a wreck. I was at a 4-way stoplight facing west waitng to make a left turn, my light was red, when the light blinked once and then went out. The light was just off. So naturally since I don't have the right-of-way I wait there till no one is comming to make my turn. Well, this this guy in a van is heading north, just going straight. At the same time a lady in a Pacifica is heading south and decides to make a left turn, as this guy is comming straight at her. Well she turns right in front of him and he smashes her at probbly 35-45mph. Well I took physics and I knew right away that I was sitting in the direction that they were both were now heading. Since it's now slo-mo I am sitting there thinking "Don't hit me! Don't hit me!" I couldn't even put it in reverse because someone is behind me. Luckily they came to a stop in a heap of smashed metal and crap before they got to me. Them I thought something might have flown off one of the two cars and hit mine, but everything was ok. I had to wait there for like 45 mins becuase I couldnt back up or go around untill the wreckers moved the cars. And I had to give a statement to the DPS Officer. Probably about five feet from hitting me.

Right after it happened I called the police and tried to see if everyone was ok, one lady in the Pacifica complained of her knee hurting. There were two kids in the car also, two guys in the van. Everyone came out ok.

well...take the estrogen content into account...most women drivers cannot drive. period....the only other time i let someone drive my stang was my girlfriend and she almost put us into the ditch..she had no idea how much more power my stang had than her sixer. lol

glad everyone is ok..i would have been freaking out...but hey! reason to get a new bumper if they had hit you! lol

The hood is from VIS, but the underliner is made by Cervinis. So I guess it's a VIS/Cervinis hood. What about your's Jack?

I forgot some things in the story as well. Right after the wreck happened another mustang pulled up beside me at the intersection, it was compleatly ugly though. It was a Yellow GT covered with dirt and mud, busted back bumper, scrates wherever there was paint. And for some reason there was a bent up Mustang emblem bracket in the road right in front of my car. Just random road debris but I thought it was kinda odd that it was a Mustang part.

glad everyone is okay,

i too was at a light 2 days ago and witnessed a t-bone with a baby in the car. Her mother and son in the front had ran the red light very light and a man in the other vehicle that had hit them but our light was green/had the right of way. I dont understand how/why people run red lights THAT bad! I mean i have run my yellow lights but never RED!

Your stang looks sweet just sitting there all fresh in front of two wrecked vehicles haha

Whoa, Nelly! Let's back up a little here. I know you said 'most women cannot drive', but I think that's still quite a broad statement. Idiots are idiots, regardless of their gender or what they drive. It has nothing to do with estrogen or testosterone. It has everything to do with common sense. I am a woman, I have a 4 cylinder Mustang and a 4.6, and I damn sure know the difference, and I know to respect the 4.6. The moron that caused that accident just wasn't paying attention and most likely got their license out of a Cracker Jack box or a bubble gum machine. Moments like those are the reason why stupidity should be a cardinal sin. It's sad that those of us that can actually drive have to share the roads with idiots.

glad everyone is ok..i would have been freaking out...but hey! reason to get a new bumper if they had hit you! lol
I do agree with this. From the looks of that, he would have been replacing more then the bumper! I would have **** in my seat! You are very lucky 01FR500, but I'm sure you know that.

Well "many" women cant drive any good but many young drivers women or men can be really terrible. Well that was my expirience when I was driving my old Peugeot 206 XS

BTW I´m from Iceland and new on this forum, got my Mustang only 3 days ago (LOVE IT)....

You propably havent seen this 206XS before but here is the outcome after a guy who just had his driving license wasnt paying attention.

We were both fine exept the guy in the Hyundai, he went into a shock. Started talking to himself and something. But I was able to calm him down until the police arrived.

The reason we have higher insurance rates is probably becuase men are more likely to take chances, risk danger, etc., so incidents like wrecks would happen to us more often.

A bad driver doesn't have to get into a wreck to be a bad driver. My girlfriend, been in two wrecks, neither her fault, never gotten a ticket, but is a bad driver in my opinion becuase of the way she drives. The way you control a car is how I determine if someone is a bad driver. Women can be just as good driver's as men of course, but I beleive that it is more "natural" for a man to take more "connected" control of a vehicle, stereotypes. But the difference in cost for insurance for males and females only applies to people less than 25 years old. Younger male drivers have a greater tendency to take risks while driving, in turn, invloved in more incidents like wrecks, tickets, and such. If females took the same amount of risks while driving it is possible that they would be invloved in even more wrecks than males. It ends up being not about driving ability, because the needed level of ability is greater for the risk taking males.
