Sorry to hear about your loss bro. Thats got to suck!

And guys dont get salvage happy yet... I might be wrong, but when an insureance co. "totals" a car... they effectivlely BUY it. So after they declare it totaled the car is really no longer his. They will let him get his personal belongings out of it but if its bolted to or other wise effectivly "part of the car" he will have to buy it back from the insurer. I may be wrong but i think thats the way it works.

Dam. He hit the drivers side a ton. Too bad it didn't kill him or at least cripple his ***. Don't mean to be too harsh, but I have no sympathy for low lifes like that. Maybe he got a good enough jolt that he will have shoulder problems later in his life.. That had to hurt a little bit..

Yeah it was some girl and her b/f and as we have found out they are couple crackheads, just waiting on the cops to let us know once they have grabbed them. So I can grab a hold of them in my own way too #$@!^&*%.

I am hoping I can get to the car and get off what I have put into the car at least before the ins adj. starts his little deal. Would really **** me off if I were to have to buy my own items that I spent hard money to purchase my self, dont make any sense!

I would think you could get some things from her, as long as you still have the stock part to replace it. Then again Insurance co's. are notorious for getting all they can from you. You may be able to haggle a bit. Not sure if I'd start pulling stuff out after you've settled. That may cause a problem with them. Still sucks though man. Stupid crackheads should stick to stealing Hondas and such, if their just gonna wreck it..

No not yet, I am still looking and praying that the bank will work with us on another loan. The main goal now is trying to get pay off for the loan of the car at this time, and then move forward and see what we can do from there.

Its not looking real grand!

Hope they catch them. Shouldn't be too hard to spot him. Just look for the white guy with a pencil neck and beard.. I'll bet he'd make for some easy choking..

I had full coverage indeed, especially since there was a lean on the car. Didnt have GAP on this one, we have GAP on our KIA Sorento we have being that it was bought new.

Just hoping the ins will kick through and pay the car loan off fully which 10.5k right now, and then enough to kick forward to another ride.

Good luck when they find them man. You can always take em to civil court too. Try to reclaim your loss somehow. I'm guessing you won't get much retribution though. Stupid legal system won;t let you have everything they might have, which looks like very little to begin with. Hmm maybe he has insurance?/ They might pay. IMHO you should get what you think it was worth to you. or at least you can see them go to prison for a few years..

Yeah I doubt they have anything at all if anything of worth, these people prob just live for the next rush of a joy ride, and keep moving on...

I am not real impressed at this moment with the police tracking. I would have thought these jerks would have been found by now, I have been passing wanted flyers around the area since last week in various areas when we go to our youngest softball games.

I hope we have some good news from the ins company today, and whats going on financially next for us in this matter.

I must say I am just blown away there are still some big hearted people out there in this world. A guy I have never met in my entire life, but has heard of me losing the car as of recently through my mom since she does a lot of stuff through various car clubs for doing show boards and so on...

I get home today from work, and see the mail, and am like oh goody lets see the wonderful bills of the day...and low and behold there is a letter from a person I don't know or have ever spoke with in my entire life. My mom said he might contact me in this regard and I thought yeah ok....but he sent me a $200 check to go towards my next purchase for a vehicle to replace my GT that was totaled as of last week. He is a big car enthusiast's and has been for many years and lives out of White Plains Maryland. His name is Steve Padgett and if anyone should know this man personally, please thank him for me and when I do get my next GT I will definitely be making a trip up to thank Steve and his family for taking the time to support me in finding the kindness in there heart.

I just cant say enough about another car enthusiast's to do something like this for someone they don't know or have ever met, and restores in my heart that there are still good people in this world.

Thank you Steve.
