my question is how did you afford having a cobra, and 2 machs? insurance cost for all 3 per month?

Yeah well the black mach was an investment buy. It was sitting on a Honda lot for WAY under KBB I offered them a thousand less than that and they said no way but ended up calling me the next day. The Cobra was one of those un-heard of deals The guy wanted $18,900 for it on the side of the road. I called, test drove it and offered him $16,000 because it ran rough; he took it. The car had 21,000 miles on it and after I replaced the MAF and IAC it ran perfectly.

How did I afford them? I'm lucky enough to have pristine credit and a great job (knock on wood). The insurance was one of the reasons I wanted to just have a single car. I was sick of paying about $140/month each for insurance on cars I wasn't driving.

Oddly enough my insurance premium went down when i got the 'vette. I'll never understand why. Maybe they are a lower risk car because old farts drive them, who knows.

lol, lucky guy. i actually got a good deal on my ride too, the seller was from texas and was new to virginia but she was about to start a family and we all know how much space the back seats offer. she was also in the state almost 90 days, so she had 3 days to either sell the car or convert all her registration to virginia state law. the car is in immaculate condition and only 40k miles on it. she was in the military and was deployed for 3 years, so the car was driving sparingly. she was asking i got the car for 7.5k, it was bluebooked close to 10k. i let my mechanic take it for a day and he said it runs like new, so now the modding begins, unfortunately she just had performance tires put on, only 2,000 miles on them, so i cant get 18in cobra r's and tires until i wear the tires down. Does anyone know if companies will buy used tires? like walmart? lol. anything to get something for them.

your vett is nice btw, not a fan of the yellow though.

Buy my 2004 Cobras heh. They have full race slicks on them but They'd look sick under that silver body.
