Anyone have a rear seat delete to show off!?
Well this weekend i am ordering a Rear Seat Delete. Tired of driving around more than 1 person and no reason for anyone to sit back there anyhow and weight reduction is always good, so how hard is the install? Any pics to see what i have in store?? I am ordering a black kit to split up the charoal grey interior i have.....
Anyone interested in some charoal leather rear seats??? PM me!

Im gunna be doing somthing similar to Machgt. But ill be leaving the bench and removing the back rest of the right side only. Then im gunna cut a piece of wood to fit in place wrapped in carpet and have a sub in the middle. That way I can still have a 3rd seat if needed and have my bass right behind me.

25lbs off a convertible stang...
does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on putting a logo on the kits? i have seen/heard about the kits that were made with logo's but they are no longer made.....

it pretty much just sits there. the spacer is essentially a frame made of 1x4s and a bit of plywood cut to size. I used a couple of flathead screws to hang it in some holes that keeps it in place. then there's velcro to keep the upright part of the rsd from falling down.
the lower part of the rsd is made of a 1x4 frame.

To do a logo, you can do a number of methods. The easiest to do would probably be an inlay. For that you'll need a piece of fabric of the size/color/pattern you want the logo to be in (don't cut it out of that bit), glue the logo color swatch down to the board, then you cut out the logo shape in negative from the main bit of carpet and glue that over the swatch so the color shows through the cutout. Simple and easy to do. You can use 1/16" foam padding under the logo swatch to give it a little body.
You can also do embossed logos which are a little more subtle. For that take some 1" soft foam (like seat foam... decent stuff) and cut and shape it how you want the logo to look and glue it to the base board, then glue the carpet over the whole works, carefully working it around the foam so you get a good line of definition for the starts of the highs and lows.
I've even seen guys sculpt what they want out of fibreglass filler on the base board and cover the whole thing with a thin layer of foam and lay the carpet over that.

question guys...
I got my rsd on the way, but plan on getting my interior carpet re-done. Should i wait and get the carpet re-done then install my rsd or does it even matter which i do first???

I'd imagine the rear seat would have to come out to do full carpet replacement, so better to do the rsd after since the rear seat will be out anyway.
