Round 3 SCCA Auto-x HUGE pics. 56k... kill yourself.
Good day for racing. Track was laden with gravel and little tiny wet spots. Zero traction. I was literally spinning the tires from the moment I left the line to the moment I crossed the finish. Got a bunch of positive reaction to the amount of tire smoking and sitting on 6K rpm. Even got into 3rd gear a couple times. Did ok my first run...very aggressive and smooth. 2nd run was a full 1.5 seconds faster. Third run I blew turn 4 and had to use reverse. Added 7 seconds over my 2nd runs time. No cones hit.
The guy handing out time slips was grinnin and telling me to get some R compound tires cuz, "you're haulin *** out there but the tire spin is killin' yer times"
My buddy Scooter. Lookin stoned cuz he is.

Good pics, that surface doesn't look so great but it's nice an big. You should get some Kuhmo v710s for sure. Getting up to third is nice. In the Louisianna region, about 2.5 hours away is a site that uses a dragstrip's parking lot, so its a quarter mile by about 200 yards. It is the only track that we get to use third gear and let the high-horse power guys have some fun. I will have to make a thread of the autox fun I had this weekend now.

It sure is. And it works extremely well in the application the car was built for (open road racing). While it's a bit much for autocross work it settles the car nicely at freeway speeds.
If you look close at the first pic of my car actually in motion you'll see smoke coming off the tires... it did for the entire run. No joke. I did ok... drove real aggressive and it paid off with short times. I'm right between not doing it again for a while and considering joining and going for the local championship.
If you look really close you'll see that the side plates on my R wing are missing. I snagged on one of them and it pulled the screw bosses out so I pulled the other side off to balance the air. I'll epoxy it back this weekend.
There was a girl in a lowered new edge v6 stang that went out and was drivin HARD. Didn't have the tires or suspension to support the driving style but she did well. The SVO had problems but was decently driven. The GT350 ... dunno. Tube frame now.

PS... I like to give you guys the full 2200 pixel wide image. If you want them smaller, right click, save picture as, open with picture viewer or paint and enjoy. If I don't post the full pics you don't get all the details and that's why I put pics up in the first place right?
