Default Going through withdrawls...

Haven't had my GT for a while now and really starting to miss it...

Been using this pic for my wallpaper, thought I'd share:

Cool pic. That's a badass car.

I have only had my GT for abot a week, but I don't know what I'd do if I had to be away from her for any extended period of time. If I could get a new barracks room overlooking the far end of the parking lot, I'd be all over it.

I love looking at my car. Every time I see it I think, "that's a badass car", and then I remember that it's MINE. I love that feeling! I hope it never wears off.

Anyway, I'm not sure what your situation is, but I feel for your loss.

Thanks, its a long story, but hopefully I'll have it back sometime in Nov. Its been with my mechanic on and off since Dec. I think I've driven it a total of 1200 miles this year.

Blown engine 8-(. Its been an ongoing nightmare for close to a year, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. Unfortunately, my car is in Austin,Tx and I'm in Jackson, Tn, working. You can read about it if you'd like:

https://mustangboards.com/general-te...blem-back.html

Basically, everything under the hood has been replaced and its waiting to be dyno tuned. Since its sitting at my mechanic's shop collecting dust, I keep having him add more mods to it.

So Far:
PMP Forged Street Mod 600 short block bored 0.20 over [ Manley H-beam rods w/ ARP rod bolts and mainstuds, Diamond forged dome piston (9:1 CR), PMP racing oil pump ], heavily P&P'd Windsor heads, Bullitt Intake manifold, Eibach Pro-kit, MM SFC, MM C/C plates, MM Strut tower brace, FRPP 4.10 gears, Tokico shocks and struts, 13" front brake conversion, Magnaflow catted x-pipe and catback (was going to be bassani, but changed my mind), SCT performance chip and custom dyno tune by Mike Murillo in S.A., Tx (Early November I hope). I think thats most of the performance stuff I've had done. I'm hoping it'll be around 290-300 rwhp after tuning and next summer I'll be installing either a twin turbo system or a D1-SC procharger. It'll need a tranny upgrade before then, so...

Edit: I can't complain too much, I'm using my Mach as a daily driver until I get the GT back.

Hope you get the car back soon and in good running condition, sounds like it's going to be a quick one.

Thats not a bad idea, lol, I went on yahoo maps to find where Hendersonville, Tn is located. I was at the Wildhorse Mustang show last month in Lyles, Tn. If I get a weekend off, I may give ya a holler and head your way for a day trip.

your daily driver, shoot sounds like it will be a killer when you get your hands behind the wheel again!

hell most people have like a gas saver vehicle for a daily driver, but you have 2 monster cars!

should be wild when its returned!

Yeah, I know, not very "green" of me, but I figure we only have about 10 more years of truly "affordable" gas until we catch up with the price's in Europe. So, while I can, I'm going to have a fun V8 to drive everyday. Hopefully, fuel cell car technology will be cheaper and more abundant by then or else I'll buy a Vespa to scoot around town and to work.

Cool, so it looks like they are going to be doing a cruise from the Hooters near the Rivergate Mall to the Bell Witch cave. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hooters is located in Goodlettsville on Wade Cir. I'm supposed to be on call that day, but I'll get someone to switch with me and its only like a 2 hour drive, so no prob, I'll see you there.

Yeah, Hooters is on Rivergate Parkway basically right behind the mall across the street from Tennessee SpeedSport.

Before you make any plans let me make sure me & the Fiance' can make it. Im going to start moving, starting on the 26th (just down the road) so I may not be able to cruise all the way to Adams.

Ill let you know for sure hopefully tomorrow.

Cool, I'll check back tomorrow, I may end up going anyway, there ain't much to do here in Jackson and a road trip would be good.
