Default drag racing in north carolina (legally) through winter

i'm in the army here at ft. bragg, nc and as some of you may know fayetteville is the major city outside of ft. bragg. our drag strip, Fayetteville Motorsports Park, is running all winter long on sundays from 1 to 5 weather permitting of course. it's just a test and tune of course. cold air makes horsepower but as we all know it's harder to hook up on a cold track even with slicks. well if your ever in the area on sundays or don't mind a drive depending on how far away you are, check the weather and give them a call (as to not waste a trip) and go for some runs. it's 8 bucks to get in and 8 bucks to race as much as you can. i don't believe he is going to raise the price over winter. there's no inspections or stuff like that, just pay and race. no passengers if anyone is wondering. oh yeah the number.
Track 910-484-3677 www.fayettevillemotorsportspark.com
Cell of Owner/Announcer (Dan Meshaw) 910-640-7486 please be sure to call before coming i don't want anyone to waste a trip.
there's an all night drag nov. 26, 4 till until, or all night long. 10 and 10. admission and race fee. it's called freaky friday, they are the first friday of every month but i think this may be the last for the season not sure though, i went to one and left at 2:30 in the morning and they were still going strong. it was packed but it started getting "freaky" after midnight. but that was summer time. well hope some of you are interested.

I used to goto FMSP dragstrip many years ago. From what I know now is it's newly paved 1/4 mile strip. They used to run 1/4 mile, then when the track got kinda old they only ran 1/8 mile. But this asphalt should only be maybe 3 or 4 years old. I've been a spectator for a long time here. My understanding was the track was closing down due to lack of funds. But I guess they rebounded a little bit and gonna keep the racing on.. I don't have much time off from work lately, But I would sure like to take my new 04 GT down the track once or twice just to see what she will do. I may try to find a Sunday to go "test and tune". Thanks for the info on this Bro!!!
