Default Hood scoop added to 00'

After Jack added all his photos, this is kind of a downgrade haha. But here it is finally finished. I can throw up a pretty detailed instruction guide for anyone interested in adding one. 200$ for scoop + grille + hardware.

Looks good. Now you need to get some smoked headlights.

No it's non-functional

And yeah I need to replace the headlights anyways. They're cracked under the hood.

Now, forgive me for not knowing what my own scoop looks like. But that scoop looks more like the optional scoop on the 35th aniv models, no? They were a little bit flatter in the back than the later 01+ scoops...

I bought it off Ebay, and as far as I know it's not. I think the reason it looks that way is that the 2000 hood was never meant for a hood scoop. (Correct me if I'm wrong) And that some tweaking is required to get it to fit right vs. putting it on an 01+ and having it sit perfectly.

the 99/00 hoods are 100% the same as the 01+ GT hoods just one came from the factory with the hoodscoop installed.

I think you might have a 35th anniversary since it seems to be shorter in the back then the 01+ GT scoops.

Is that good or bad? lol. I had just read around that it's more of a PITA to install a scoop on a 00' then on a 01'+. I assumed it was because something in the hood was a bit different.

it is perfectly fine, just means you have a hood scoop that is just slightly different from the population and was only out for 1 year.

Well I guess that's a nice surprise. I like the looks of the newer scoops, but it's always great to have something a little more rare. I don't think I'll be satisfied until I changed out the rims though. I'm just too cheap to do it.

Translation: He feels bad for that black 03 GT sitting in the mall parking lot for 20 minutes too long.

The scoop was 145$ painted. The grille I bought SEPERATELY was an extra 45. I just rounded up to 200.

How much did it cost to have it painted? Or how much do you think it would cost?
