Default Truth about Sylvania Silverstars

Well we all know that Sylvania Silverstars are the most popular choice of Halogen headlight bulbs, but ever see a comparison?

I don't know if this has been done here (probably has), but I took a couple pictures showing the difference in the sylvania silverstars compared to the stock bulbs that come with the Smoked Clear Corner Headlights.

I wish the pictures did a little more justice, but there is a decent difference. Was still kind of light out, but only imagine the difference at night. The sylvania's look as though they put out a "whiter" light out.

1st pic: driver's headlight with sylvania bulb, passanger headlight stock bulb
2nd pic: Left side of wall with sylvania, right side with stock.

Nice man, I don't think I've seen anyone do an actual comparison like that. I use the silverstars also.....I have a fog light out so I'm getting ready to get some silverstart fog lights as well. Nice job man

I really wish it was darker out. I might do another quick comparison in a couple hours.

It's hard to see the difference looking at them head on, but you can see the difference in the picture of the wall. They are pretty expensive, but worth it in my book.

I did a personal comparison test when I put my silverstars in. Much whiter and a good bit brighter, just that little extra but of vision very well may save your life. Ok, well, it may mean the difference between a cracked bumper and a close call... Also they look much better because they are pure white

Cost me $36.99. Ran across them today at AutoZone, knowing my new smoked headlights were coming in and how bad the stock bulbs are, I bought a pair.

Keep a check on Advance Auto parts, they run them on sale a lot for $19.88 for a pair. I am in need on a new one now, one blew. But they aren't on sale at the moment, so I think I am going to steal one out of my wife's durango and put the stockers in hers! lol

I <3 my silverstars, but they don't put out enough light in the immediate front of the car..so I need to hurry up and ghetto rig on my fogs.

Does sylvania make the white bulbs for the fog lights as well? I can't stand having nice bright white headlights and dull yellow fogs.
