I was messing around with the pic taking thing again today and I have a question. In the attached pic, the front of the car starts to get blurry. I'm guessing it's because the center of the camera's viewfinder was centered and focused on the building and trees and not the car. Is there a way to get the whole picture in focus with a regular digital camera instead of just the center of the pic? I like the pics where the car is not neccessarily the center of the picture but still the subject of it. I may be nitpicking about the bluriness of the front end, but it was just something I wondered about.

I'm just getting into digital photography myself. One way I think would work, is if your using a Tripod, take several pictures with different settings. A couple of shots with the building as the vocal point, then again with your car as the vocal point. Then use photoshop and combine the better of the shots for a single clear composite. And I love the way yellow mustangs look when washed and waxed, almost like they're on fire, awesome.

 

I'd say it's a lighting thing.Were there alot of shadow's there?

 

Yeah, lots of trees and buildings, but even the ones I took in direct sunlight came out like that. I think it's more of the camera focusing more on the center of the pic...maybe a wide angle lens would help???

I'm gonna have to break down and read up on photography...

 

Well, I dunno what camera you have.. but what I do is manually set which focual point i want the camera to use, that way it focuses on the area i chose. And then I adjust the aperture accordingly to create the depth of field..

 

All I got out of that was "DAMN!!! Christie takes some amazing pictures!!!"

I really need to sit down and read up on photography. It started out as just something for fun, but I'm really wanting to learn a little more about it now. My camera is just a Sony DSC-P200...guess I'll have to read that instruction manual/users guide that came with it...

 

get Digital rebel! They OWN JOO!! also get a really good tripod (sturdy one mainly). I wanna get a new macro lens for my DR XT, cuz they are better for portraits cuz they will give you a better blur effect like in Christie's photo.
