HUH? The support just sits between the fenders and supports the motor while I drop the K member. Here is a better pic:

I thought you had to jack the motor up a few inches to install. Will that allow you to do that? Damn engine bay is soo tight.

There are two ways to install headers. #1 is by taking the bolt off of one motor mount at a time and jack the motor up 3-4 inches. It is very cramped, but does not require you to remove the K member. Way #2 is removing the K member. This allows simple access to ALL of the header bolts and is the preferred way to install headers.

understand. I just hate to think of that install from the ground, ie:no lift. I have a set of SLP that came with my kit but have yet to tackle. The guy who is going to do my gear, rear, axle install said he'd do it all in the same day. I'd like to save the $ and do that part myself. I have not talked to anyone who has really done it, just what i've read and have seen under my own car.

Funny thing is I have a friend with a lift and he told me I could use it for however long I need it. I opted to install them in my own garage. No time limit and I can work on it when I want to.

too funny....Well I have been driving my 03 cobra now for 3yrs as my daily driver as it has 46k miles on it. I also had an 01 cobra vert before this one and it was my daily driver for 2.5yrs as I put 36k on that car. I am getting to the point that I want to take this car off the road and put it up and have it for shows, good weather and racing. Not to mention with gas now I am paying about 550 a month just for my car and the wife is over $400 for her expedition..so thats 1k a month just in GAS!!!

screw that....why in the HELL does your wife need a big *** expedition? seriously...get her a smaller more gas efficient SUV...I'm just saying, if I got a cobra, no WAY would I pull out of my garage every morning in a pos, and watch the cobra leave
