Rebuild in progress motor will be taken apart tomorrow and inspected to see what parts I'll actually need to get the compression right. Just pisses me off this shop took oer a week just to pull the damn motor. I knew I should have pulled it my self just to save some extra time and money.

Good Luck with the rebuild.
Do you and MC John ever work on cars together? You two could have knocked that out.

I was undering if I should clean up the engine bay but then again I don't really mind dirt so maybe a good spray doen for the dirt then wash it up a bit. I'll be painting the valve covers silver and the rest of the engine Ford Blue. The motor will be cleaned and painted. L/T won't fit my auto I have been thinking about shorties thou.
Yep, forgot about that.

Making close to 8.7to1 compression will net some good gains with the blower. I'll be getting cams instead of headers. Since my buddy with a KB'ed Saleen has his stock manifolds on he makes 500hp so it won't be to much of an restriction on the car. I wish this would have been a windsor motor now I have to buy a new fly wheel with 8 bolt pattern. I think with a nice 3500rpm stall this motor combo will be sweet then I'm done with major mods for awhile.
MCM I will get some good video of the car on the dyno and send it to you along with some pics of the build to kinda make a tribute video.
On a bad note my crank trigger wheel was cracked, because of my balancer was not tight and was about to fall off causeing a vibration on the keyway. Just some friedly adice when swapping pulley's out make sure you put some loctite on the threads.
Also anyone need some stock internals and stock crank? I'll get some pic's by this friday I'll sell em cheap!
I will be at Kuaffman's May 23 for tune.
Also doesn't suck to be me. Atleast I have another car to drive while this is in the shop. Plus this is kinda saving me gas money can't complain about 35mpg with my beater right now. But when the car gets back home in the stable she will be badddd!!!!!!

I learned that lesson with mere overdrive pulleys.

Well change to the change looks like I'm going 302 stroker kit so no cams! My builder said he really would have rather done the .020 over with cams but their was a problem with the place he gets his stuff from said it take 2 weeks to get a forged stock stroke crank. I'll do the 302 but I'll have to wait till this fall for heads and cams from MPH. So 302ci with 3500 rpm stall, and alittle P-1sc blowing 15-20psi should help me scoot faster. I hope. Still on track for middle next week picking up the car!

got some engine spray paint and lots of tape from advanced auto. Took me about 2 days wanted to make sure it was good and dry before I applied the old ford blue. I just hope my block turns out as nice.
