Default A work in progress...

I ordered black FR500 rims to replace the ones I have on, so I thought I'd give the old ones a fond farewell and show some pics of them..

Yeah, I like the chrome rims too, but at the time I bought the mach 2 years ago, I had wanted black rims, unfortunately at the time I had the cash for them, there was like an eight week national back order, the chrome was my second choice. I plan on putting DRs on the 17x10.5 for those days I go to the track, so I'll still be using them.

I like the cobra front on your friends DSG, I've been thinking of getting that as well. Its hard to see on the pics, but the front end of my car is damaged, so I've been looking to get it replaced, I'm torn between keeping the stock front look or getting the 99/01 front (which I think has better lines)

Looking very sexy. Get some taillight and reflector blackouts to add to the yellow/black theme. The FR500's will look even better.

Getting the 17x10.5 (285/40 GSD3) deep dish in back and 17x9 (275/40 GSD3)up front, will upgrade to 315/35 GSD3 in the back when the time comes to replace them

The black hood strip on the mach originated in Texas. Sorry to say. One of my buds who recently sold his mach did it on a azure blue one in 2003. Anyways good lookin mach. the black FR500's will be a nice touch!

That's a damn nice mach you have there! It's cool to see another Mach owner on this site.

quick question....I was looking at your sig and it seems like your dyno #'s are pretty low for the mods you have?? Was before some of the mods you have listed?

The dyno numbers were from when I had the car tuned at Speedsouth in B-ham, Alabama. They installed the CAI, X-pipe and catback then did the dyno tune. Since its my daily driver, I wanted a conservative tune instead of aggressive. I went from 272 rwhp stock to just 288 rwhp. Recently, I had the SLP headers installed but haven't had a chance to make a dyno run to check any gains. I know the engine has alot more in it with just being tuned and should be over 300 rwhp, but with the tune I have atm, I'm getting 27 miles per gallon on the highway and 21 miles per gallon in the city, with gas @ $3.20 per/gal, I'm gonna stick with effeciency for a little while longer lol..

When I bought my mach, I disliked 2 things on it, the stock rims, and the vinyl hood stripe. I did a little research on early mach paint schemes and found the pictures below. I feel that the painted hood should have been done in the factory, it would've been closer to the retro theme they were going for, I didn't see other pics of late model hoods until I already had mine painted, all I can say is, great minds think alike, but the origin of my painted hood is from the late 60s machs.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment Mug, I can't wait until I get the new rims on 8-).
