Default Painted interior trim and made a "heat extractor" out of the factory GT hood! Look!

Tell me what you guys think. I had the "interior upgrade" package from the factory where the center trim around the radio was painted "silver." But I repainted to a more metallic silver and did some painting to the bezels on the side of the door and on the dash. I also cut out where it almost seems Ford purposely put a cut out. The hood scoop now pushes "colder" air DIRECTLY onto the intake manifold. Works great! I don't drive the car in the rain, so water isn't even an issue for me.

Some more...

If you want to know how exactly to paint your interior correctly and have it look factory looking, mustangworld has a great write up!

I did about 5 coats of silver and 3 coats of the clearcoat.

I would go with the Saleen style gauge pod in the center. It doesn't blind you, no matter what gauge you go with. Becuase I had Autometer C2 series gauges before which were a very strong flourecent blue color. That really blinded you on the a-pillar. But the center style also is out of the way, but close enough so that you can see what you need to see.

Yes I did actually. Look closely at the FIRST and SECOND TO LAST pictures...you can see one black zip tie. Well all the bolts that held it down originally before were able to be used again, EXCEPT for one. That one bolt to hold the scoop down was in the center behind the honeycomb grill. So I just simple zip tied the one that wasn't used. Its fine now...trust me...I've tested it out if you know what I mean.

Yeah definately man. Thats a great idea, I don't think I'll have that problem though where my air filter sits in the fender well. Post pics up when you're done though, I want to see that!

Yeah, mine wasn't painted from the factory, there was a liner there instead.

So did you paint the liner? or get rid of it? I'm pretty sure you need that liner or you'd melt your hood
