That would be my color of choice, nice. I think what people are saying is that the hood is so over the top that the front bumper looks sedate in comparison. Who did your trunk looks real nice. I have not tried fabbing stuff out of glass but might give it a try as it always looks better than MDF.

Fug yea man. I love that color, had an 02 GT same color before some douche T-boned me and totaled it. Don't know if any of you guys have seen it.
As far as the hood, I love it, and I really want it on my Saleen. With the Saleen front and those aggressive scoops, it just looks sick.
Are your scoops functional or are they blocked off?
Where did you get the hood from?
I have found the hood with a 2.5" cowl and non functional scoops and
3" cowl with functional hollow scoops.

How did you do the neon in the front??
How did you do the neon in the front??
The neon is mounted under the lip of the radiator. The neon I had fit in there just perfectly. Don't use it much, but I thought it gave a different look.

Grimmz - I've actually had them for a couple of years, but got them on sale for close to $400. If you go to JMSproductsinc.com they have the newer prices. Jay was awsome to deal with and I know he has hooked up with a couple of other people and vastly improved his quality. If you can swing it, DO IT! He can make custom scoops if you want something special!

At this point I don't think I'll be doing any body stuff for awhile. I'm working on trying to find some 03 Cobra seats. ANYONE KNOW OF ANY THAT AREN'T 1k?? I know someone that can recover them to match the car, which will be sick when I'm done with them. I'm going to paint a couple of interior things, kind of like Sonic Blue Saleens have. Probably not the doors though. THEN the Kenny Bell fund will start!!

I purchased the hood from ABC Exclusive's which you can find in most Mustang magazines. I would definately recomend them as the body shop I went to said they have never seen such a nice fiberglass hood. They said there was next to no work to get the hood perfect. The hood scoops are not functional. I have had thoughts of making the hood scoops functional, but it would only be for show. If you can do it - DO IT!!

they have the Mach II hood in a 3 inch cowl with functional scoops. I've been told by many many people that this place has top of the line quality hoods and have been told that by body shops. This is where I'm getting my hood.
I'm assuming your cowl rise is 2.5"????
Are you getting hood pins? That's a very popular topic round here that hood pins are necessary on fiberglass hoods.

You are correct, I have the 2.5". As far as the hood pins, I'm not a fan of them so won't be doing them. I guess I can see why some would think them necessary, but I don't think so. I know many of Mustangs in my area the have them, but just as many don't. Some of the ones I know that do not have them race their cars all the time, so the thought that it might come off is crazy. Of couse that is if the hood is a quality hood and installed correctly. I'm glad to hear you have a place near bye to get your hood as shipping is crazy now a days!! Also glad to hear that body shops recommend them as most cheap hoods have losy fiberglass.
