on ur car it looks good..cause u dont have the hood scoop on ur hood....on the 01+ stangs...it looks off balanced w/o the wing...

but in the future i wanna get a new hood, the cobra R cowl hood, if i get it, then would the wingless effect suck?

if i took my wing off, how do i do it correctly, and am i able to put a NEW wing on in the future? or no.

 

I moved my spoiler back yesterday, do that instead. It took me a whole 30 minutes maybe! Looks tons better! (but, my driver is screwed up for my camera. I'm gooing to try to get it fixed in a few minutes and I'll post the pics)

I debated taking the wing off for a while and then I found a dealership that would take my decklid and give me a V6 one. I get soooo many more compliments about how clean it looks w/out the wing. Check teh pic.

yea, i was thinking about it, i miht just move it back for a week, see if i liek it, or not, then try wingless...

 

well if u move it back u have to drill into your trunklid, so first just try wingless, then if u are really unsure i guess then u could/should move it back...

 

i've thought about it...talked to some friends of mine, another fellow stang owner. and ive decided.... im going to go wingless + stripes...

i think itll look clean without wing, plus strips will just set it off even more. BUT im not sure of what color to get? i dont wanna get DSG like every1 else...but i was thinking about a LIGHT silver to maatch my future rims (black fr500's with CHROME lip) thinking of getting stipes to set off the chrome lip and SS inserts...

what yall think about that? or no for the stripe color?

one more thing...IF i put the stripes on, if in the future i got a new hood + front end...would i just reapply new stripes over them or take the stripes off period, and get new ones?

go wingless..i love mine now. I used to be all about having the wing and hated them without wings...DO IT!

 

your car has a nice *** love the honeycomb (pointless to put black honeycomb on my black car )

but yea, wutcha think about the stripes tho? i want a color to match with the chrome look (rim lip+SS inserts)

 

It is actually painted (not honeycomb) But if I had your car I would put dark grey stripes on it. Maybe even like a flat grey. Black is such a shiny overpowering color that if you put anything bright and shiny on it, it usually takes away from the black. Dark grey in my opinion. Not silver..even with chrome rims and dark grey stripes I think it will still look really nice.

 

so yea...either WHITE or DSG or a flat silver...

and my mom is COMPLAINING about the idea of taking the wing off saying it takes away the sports look? im like, wow mom, my wing doesnt make me car turn from a corolla to a mustang cause of the wing...sigh

but NEWAYS, i wanna do it and then get stripes... (whats the link for vinyl stripes?) and i prolly couldnt do them myself, a range of how much would it cost to go to a place and have them put it on?

 

it is funny u mention that, because when i took my wing off to look at it like that my mom and dad said it took away some of the sporty look of the car, i was like what, anyways...
