Default Paint...

Hey Randy question for you. I've got probably about an inch or less chip in the paint on the drivers side door probably from some ***. Anyway its been there for a while and thats the first thing i always see... drives me crazy. You think it would be worth getting some touch up paint or do you think the shades are going to be so different since its an 04 that it will stand out just as much.. What does touch up paint run though you or am I better off just going to autozone for something small like that.

Thanks

paints torch red, code d3 if i remember right...

well I'd say it's worth a shot, D3 shows as being Colorado Red on my end and prob @$12.00 to you wth shipping, so it might be cheaper toget locally and if you-do, look for the Dupli-Color brand

Not looking to hijack the thread but I was at a Ford Dealership in Glen Burnie for a Mustang show and the parts counter was open so I wandered in and tried to get some touch up paint for my '03 Cobra in Silver Metallic - Paint Code YN. We went through the VIN and ended up with 3 possible paint codes? he wanted to order them all and see which one it was. What really baffles me is that it's an anniversary model that only came in 3 possible colors (Red, Black, Silver).. is it really that difficult to figure out the right color for the touch up paint? I tried the local auto store and they did have a couple different Ford Silver colors that were all close but I did not want to buy all of them to see? Any suggestions?
