Hey I know someone out there knows this answer. I just feel dumb asking it, but here goes. Can anyone give me a part# or tell me what the hell the foam/ rubber insert into the fuel tank where the filler tube goes into the tank is called? I leak gas from that area a bit and need to replace, but can't seem to find it online or take the crazed look off the face of the local autozone guy when I ask for help. Thanks for the help.

the fuel tank grommet is a dealer only item, sells for @$21.00 + shipping and the Ford part # is F4ZZ-9072-BA incase you want to try local

 

I think it would be better to order it from you then. My dealership in my area is a pain. Took them almost 4 weeks to order in the fitting that goes into the drivers side header. Do you have a phone number or site to order that part from you? I appreciate the help Randy. Thanks

Nope I don't work at ford dealer. I am likely the most hated type of guy in this forum/ boards section. I work for a sheriff department. I don't right a ton of tickets, but am really hard on the kids who have their heads up their *** with their mustangs. As for the grommet, I may have to rethink things as I am double checking now to see if the whole tank and the seal around the tank is shot. Thanks again Randy.
