Default 98 hood

Hey my car is in the process of being fixed after a little run in with a deer. The insurance company has still not decided whether or not they will pay for a new hood but I have a feeling the guy at the body shop will prove to them that he can't fix it. I was wondering what the part numbers and prices for a 98 GT hood and a 98 Cobra hood would be. I think they are going to make me replace with OEM and I would prefer the Cobra hood as long as it's not much more expensive or anything. Thanks a lot.

normally they cut you a check and you can do whatever you want with it. you would have to pay the difference to upgrade to a cobra hood.

Yeah that was the deal but it's not anymore. They are refusing to give the money for the new hood. The guy at the body shop told the insurance company it wouldn't be worth it to fix but they aren't taking his word for it. So instead some guy from the insurance company is going to go when the body shop works on it and they have to prove it to him. The problem is then they are going to take care of the hood themselves through OEM and I'm not really going to have any say in it. This is why a heads up on the price would be good so I can know whether or not to tell the body shop guy that the Cobra hood is what I want.

Cobra hood list for $660.00 and a Gt hood list for $495.00 and thats not including insulation, hinges, latch, stryker, vents or prep n' paint.
