But back to the topic at hand. I will grant you that Washington is not a good team, but it was a road game and it was at least a team from a BCS conference, which is more than you can say for Kansas who played NO BCS teams in their non-conference. Kansas played a **** schedule all season in the non-conference and the only good Big 12 team they played beat them alot worse than the 8 points would suggest.
If you would have had Missouri's schedule you would have lost to Illinois, you would have lost to Oklahoma, and you would have lost to Missouri.

Oh the irony. You can go look up irony if you need to.

how can you punish them for something the Coach nor the players has any control over?
dude when comparing Washington to non-Bcs Teams, you're still comparing apples to oranges...cause they both still suck, and they both are bottom of the barrel teams, it doesnt make any difference.
regardless of scheduling, who they play, the coach still has to coach, the QB still has to throw and handoff, the receivers have to catch, the RB's have to follow their blocks, and the defense has to tackle, and special teams has to do their thing. Appalachian State proved that against Michigan this year.
your argument is illegitimate.

Kansas did not schedule them...the Big 12 makes their schedules, and dictates who they play, that is not KU's fault.

Of course my argument is legitimate. How can you deny that other than Missouri Kansas has played awful teams. They beat 0 top 30 teams while OSU beat 3.
Going by your logic Boise State should have been #2 in the BCS last year because they were undefeated and this year Hawaii should be #1 since they are.
Hell this year I would argue that Hawaii deserves to be higher than Kansas, even Hawaii beat a current BCS top 25 team. Something Kansas could not do.

While I agree Kansas does not control their conference schedule they do control the non-conference. If you do not scheudle anyone and lose to the only good team you play you will not get the love from voters.

this is the problem with the BCS...they just need to do away with it, and get a playoff system for the top 20 teams. do away with all of this bowl bid crap.
Then the team that wants it the most will win it, and there won't be no more of this SOS crap, and who they played, cause in the playoffs they will have to play someone.

The non-conference schedule thing is a tough issue. Kansas hasn't exactly been good in the past so why would they schedule 2 or 3 non-conference games that they'd get their *** kicked. Most teams schedule cupcake games so they can get 2-3 wins to help them get into a bowl....This year KU happened to be good so the schedule didn't really help them much. Also, non-conference games are scheduled 2 or 3 years in advance so their non-conference games still might be shitty for the next couple of years.
IF KU can maintain their success the schedule will get better in years to come, but I have a feeling this is a one pump chump season and next year they'll go back to being KU....I hope they prove me wrong, but but we'll see.
I can't remember who I heard say this, but it was on ESPN.....anyway, they said Hawaii has the worst schedule of any BCS team.

so i think they can string a couple good seasons together, and possibly be 9-3, 10-2 next year.

I think that would be great for college football! It's kind of cool seeing some different teams in the NC hunt. I think the gap is closing between some of your traditional "football" schools and schools like university of south florida ect...The hard part is for some of the non football traditional schools to maintain it.

I agree with what you are saying about schedules with Kansas, however people are killing Ohio State for theirs, yet this is the only year between playing Texas and USC in the non-conference. At least they tried to schedule another BCS team in Washington, they are not a good BCS team but they are better than playing Florida International, Toledo, Central Michigan, or Southeastern Louisiana.

Its definatly not good, but at least they beat a current BCS ranked team. Also Michigan paid them off to get them to drop Hawaii. Its not their fault no one wants to play them. That has been well publisized.

Good points.....There isn't a whole lot of incentive to play a team like Hawaii if your a big time program. If you win people will say your supposed to because it's Hawaii and if you lose it will kill you in the standings.
