Welcome MT!!!
Why do you like the 99-00 GT more than 01-04. Cause I think the 04 is the best looking but it has to black.

ricer is pretty much what you would see on a civic. Big body kits, altezza tailights, rims that are too big for the car..etc

a sleeper is a car that looks stock, but is packing a serious punch under the hood, so if you roll up to somone at a stop light, they think "oh haha a stock mustang" then when you race you beat the crap out of them

and to show you, my car has cobra bumpers, check out the front in my sig

touching on that, his car isnt a sleeper, and def isnt a cobra, therefore he is a perfect example of rice.. jk jk! (nice kit, i havent had a chance to compliment u on it springsstang. now just either get a s/c or turbo, and and intercooler to fill in the bumper )

as for u tangurl.. good luck finding the right car, it took me a little while to find mine. find out what u want, and dont settle for any less. the one thing id change, is that i wanted a convertable, and settled on a coupe. yeeeah. i regret that. so dont settle, at all! have fun, and good luck!

thanks, there are no cobra "kits" youd have to buy the cobra bumpers, side skirts, etc from a ford dealer in most cases

wtf? it had nothin to do w/ picking up chicks.. i could pick up chicks in my old 01' buick century. its called southern california, babe. theres the hot sun, and its nice to drive around under it w/ the top down and the wind blowing on you. then theres also that thing called the beach. again, its nice to drive up the coast/along the beach w/ the top down, sun shining, wind on ya. who said anything about getting girls?!?!?

on a side note, i dont need another girl.. my g/f now is amazing. (oh and just had a fairly large modeling agency call her to see if she'd model w/ them. just had to throw that out)

Thats all my sleepy mind can think up now, maybe when I learn to paint a picture better you can see my dream car as I do.
seriously with our mustangs, you wont want a spec clutch. our stangs have heavy clutches stock, and unless you have a power adder under the hood ( nitrous, turbo, supercharger) or just do alot of racing, you wont want an aftermarket clutch, or your left calf will be noticably bigger than your right

Welcome to the site! I have a few comments for you and most are not related - LOL

1 - Be warned, you have entered the "this site has 1600 members and 10 are chicks" zone. Post at your own risk! - LOL

2 - '99 - '00 GT's are the smartest car to buy. They are essentially the same as an 01 - '04, but less money. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Especially if you are talking about body kits and such.

3 - Clutches are a waste to replace, unless one of two things. 1, the existing clutch is bad, or 2, you are adding a power adder. Even if adding a power adder, it is sometimes best to just let the current one go bad.

4 - Mustangs should only be available in verts, IMO. But as a married guy for 12 years, I can tell you chicks hate verts. Seriously, unless it is 81 - 83 degress and driving less than 50 mph, if my wife is in the car, the top must be up. Drives me NUTS. But, Mustang verts are simply some of the nicest looking cars on the road, and there is nothing like cruising with the top down listening the the exhaust note.

5 - Most importantly, get what you want (and can afford) and make it what you wish. Your opinion on things will no doubt change over time. When I first got my car, I was intent on keeping it looking stock, but playing under the hood. Since then, I have modified the car in both ways and made it simply "me". When I go to shows, it is fun seeing the stang guys trying to guess what model and year my car is, because it is really hard to tell. I have a 2000, with a 2001 hood (actually it is a 2000 Spring Feature Car), a Roush body kit, and deep dish bullits. I also have custom badges on the car. Most people don't know what to think....that keeps them guessing and me smiling.

Alot of it depends on what you like.Personally I love the manual but I don't mind an auto either.I like the control of your shifts you have with the manual and I think it sounds way better.
With the auto it reduces driver error alot, missed shifts, and you can just put it in drive and go.
