Is that the same thing as having a lead feet? Cause I know I have one of those.

 

I dunno if i would go that far. I have an Auto. Would have rather gotten a manual, but this was when they were clearing out the 04's getting ready for the 05's and the only manuals left were the V6's. I wasnt about to get a v6

Anyways, i took it for a test drive and it really suprised the hell outta me, it shifts in like 1/10th of second, and if yer WOT it wont shift untill about 500 RPM past redline, it smacks the 2nd gear dead in the power band and launches.

If you really know what yer doing you can run the Auto all day long with a stick, but i havent personally had anyone beat it with a manual GT. Its more of a point and shoot type thing.

If you get a good performance tune in it, it is pretty damn hard to beat.

it just isnt as much fun.. <laugh>

There are tons of things you can do appearance-wise without hitting the realm of RICER. Some subtle, some not. Ive rebadged with 281(displacement), striped it, painted the calipers, outlined the tail lights, lost the grill, etc etc... ive done a bunch, but it is still very obviously a Mustang GT.
In fact, ive got a set of lowering springs on the way and my mach 1 chin spoiler should be in next week.

Also take a look at venom's ride, he has done a lot of work and has some real sweet touches, small things that make all the difference.

Thanks for the url slappy, no worries on vemon's car, him and afew others I still drool over when I see the damn sig's. I still love the idea of a Cobra, but come on lets face it, where would I go in a hicktown in SC with a Cobra, hehe, though if I did, Im sure it would make heads turn. I like the idea of a cobra bumper, but yes, I want it mostly all looking like a GT. I still will have some issues if I attempt to lower it b/c 1 gravel driveway 2 everything else in Greenville SC So thats not too much of an issue for me.

About the mach 1 chins/etc, I have seen afew, and their on my list. Along with alot of other things I cant seem to narrow down just yet, thought I have plenty of time. Its kinda nice to sit here and research my bday gift more than 5 months away and already have a good idea of what I want (too bad Im a gurl and dont know all the tech terms for you boys reading this lol).

I love the stripping (lol) on Venoms car, its just insanly sweet. *drool each time I see his sig.* And as I have looked at most all wings by now, hes isnt too shabby either (Im really againist that whole 'look I have a big wing' deal).

Lances & I spoke earlier today about personal preference for color schemes/styles, I still like the dark idea, but seriously man, I dont think I could have tint that dark!! :P But that is such a lovely color for the car.

MineralGT & SpringsStang both have really nice hoods (excuse if all this sounds like girl talk, but remember, Ima girl), but I dont know if I want the 'hood thingie' to be over or under (under like how the Saleen's is or the black widow), if that makes sense. the 'scoop', blah, Im sick dont mind me.

I still kinda like the one for this Mach III Ram Air "SVO " & I dont know if it is that particular car, but the hood kinda looks funny when you are looking at the side lines, maybe its just me....

I was just razzing back, and as for having someone not use your car b/c of the clutch, thats a good idea, but it wouldnt work with my fiance. skate: yes I know which foot I push with, but its kinda hard to skate in some parts of sc, so I havnt lately, & the whole bike deal, so dont worry about me falling off something, I think I can manage on my own, we plan to get afew dirtbikes for weekend roadtrips before I get a bike (if I change my mind again and get one) so dont worry much, I used to ride o and 'babe' its just b/c most females would rather be called a chick than a babe, thats like me calling you a boy, understandable? Exactly as you stated is the reason I am thinking more stick shift than auto. Im sure I wouldnt just get out one morning and go 'Yea, I think Ill race today', but you know when your at a stoplight and someones just asking for it, Im sure you all get tempted sometimes.

Grimmz I like your reply, it seems to have happified the thread up abit. I already seen some of those pix, lol, Im sure I will be doing some goofy things myself once bday time comes. Just got back from dropping fiance off to work since I get the joy of cleaning out the old truck before we take it tonight to get his tahoe. I have seen afew of those sites, but the person we are going thru here can find just about anything. For almost the last two years he has heard 'mustang' roll off my tongue each time I went in to make a payment and Im sure hes got afew tricks up his sleeve.

Im not too worried about finding one thats not so beefy, I think I can manage to learn to beef it up on my own, just dont want a lemon. So I will be happy even if I am starting from scratch.

As for who is the sexiest, Im not too worried, lol. Let me take this time to repharse ('out driving makes me think, even if I happen to speed'.....

What did I get myself into

 

So I talked to my guy thats in AZ & this is what I know about the car:
His is a 95, 147K miles on her to date (haha I so would have thought that be more) 3.8L engine, 6 cyl., 5 speed manual.

This is the one I drove, and was shaking after he handed me the keys lol
I remember him wondering if I could drive it since it had a racing clutch in....
that was cute. But I didnt hit that wall atop the parking garage did I

I think think either the darkest of black or a DSG (how dark can it be??)
