it wouldn't matter anyway, as long as the distributor stays relatively dry

ok thanks guys!! sometimes its just easier to use that one since its a quick spray kinda deal but now I cant use it so I have to wash it by hand.

Uhhh..99 and up dont have distributors, they have coils. Plus the coils are covered by a cover plate on 4 valves.

Oh yeah, i wouldnt worry about getting water in the engine bay either. I do it all the time to clean it out.
