Default gears

Hey guys Im new to this site.I was going to buy a set of motive gears from MT and I was wondering what I need to get with it.People always talk about shim kits, is this something that comes with it or is it the install kit Im seeing.I would appreciate te help.. :thumbsup:

Depending on mileage of your car you could either get the install kit or the complete bearing rebuild kit. If youre going to spend the $$ on gears and install I would just get the full install kit with bearings and all just to be safe since your car is 4 years old (assuming bullit from name).

Thanks for the info, However there are next to no miles on this car.But I will get the full install kit just to be safe side thanks again.... :newbie:

If there are no miles on the car, there is really no point in spending the extra 90 bucks really. Just get the gears, my FRPP ones came with a shim kit, and get someone to install them since you dont know how and dont want to dive into a gear swap. Good luck, and dont forget to recalibrate the speedometer using either a Speedcal or a chip/programmer.
