Talking How's this sound?

So I only have a little $$$ to spend but I am not ready to do gears yet so what i was thinking was this... With the help of ebay motors i should be able to afford this stuff.
Tri-Ax shifter $170
Steeda UDP's $100 on Ebay
C&L Plenum $350 0n ebay with the 75mm TB
Accufab TB
and possibly if i have the $$$
a SLP or Bassani x-pipe $150-$350 may not have the $$$ to do this
How's that sound and where will that put me in horsepower?
Also what kind of times can i run on the 1/4 mile with those if i'm a damn goo driver?
Almost forgot K&N Filter $50
I'm also going to remove the air silencer

I think for guesstimes, the year of the car is needed. But good driver with tires most everyone with those light mods and good driver are in the mid to high 13s.

I love ebay, ive been buying parts like crazy on there. Im a Ebay power seller and usually sell no buy. But its paying off.

I got a Zex nitrous system off there real cheap for my last score $320!!!

Real nice price for new. They are showing a minimum of 8rwh across the board on their dyno tests. It would be nice to believe.

Any one on here that bought the combo see any Gains?? And would you say it was worth the $$ you spent??

Dont expect high twelves unless you can drive like crazy, and even then, Im having a hard time believing you would ever run 12's on stock suspension like that. Get some slicks, thats for sure, if you want to run twelves on that stuff. You are definately going to have to work to get them without some 4.10's.

Nothing wrong with a car that can pull 13's with the very light mods you've stated. And i was saying mid to high 13's with some nitto DR's.

and no way 12's without 4.10's and DR's, im new to my current mustang but i've had 9 of them total.

My car is bassically what you stated in mods. I've got 2002 heads and intake, which gives mine more power with the xtra compression than a 2002, and the mods you listed.

Your car would have to be a hell of a ringer. we are going by the mods you say, For those 12's, you would need a hell of a clutch, Slicks and come of the line hooked up @ 6k!!!! Ive ran high 12's with basically almost stock mustangs, but they were 5.0 trunck coupes. Lightened up to 2900 lbs with a driver.

If you dont have some Drag radials or better, Dont expect to even get out of the mid 14's, or even bust low 15's if you have never been to the track with street tires.

Go here and read up

It is really hard to give you a time which you will run. First and foremost driving is harder than you would think. When I say harder I mean it takes experience to make adjustments for the weather and track conditions. You may show up on a cool dry evening where there is a small crowd of knowledgable racers who don't drag water to the line and run 13.5's all night long. Go on a hot, busy night and be lucky to break into the 13's at all. The mod's you are talking about won't get you into the 13's without good driving. You should gain 20 -25 hp so you will be around 240-250 rwhp. That kind of power can run 12's if applied properly. This requires a 1.85 or so sixty foot time or better. I know of several guys who have run low 13's high 12's with stock gears but they practiced week in and out for a season or more to acheive this. They also did alot of weight reduction and built the rear end to survive 5000 + launches on drag radials and slicks. With good driving and good weather you should hit mid 13's as someone else said. Whoever told you stock 2v's run 13's was mistaken. In most cases they are lucky to run low 14's. It's not that the car cant do it, the drivers are just not good enough to get it done. If you are serious about running well at the track you will concentrate on gears, tires, suspension and beefing up the rear end.

Im new to these forums here and to modular motors, but i lived @ the track in the 80s and 90s in 5.0s. As above said, Weather is a big variable. Temp and mostly humidity. My car could run .4 faster by late night. nothing like staying at the track from when they open till close. And even better, being able to drive the car home with nothing broken.

Be prepared to knock a lot of life out of the clutch in your car. And always take enough cash or a credit card to pay for a tow truck. And if your gonna spend the whole day running on slicks to make that 12 sec run already have it in your head that buying a replacement Transmission is no problem and in your budget. After the above is behind you, Youll have a good time.

I used to take a spare T5 with me back in the mid 80s, before there were Tremecs. To memory, ive changed trans's 2 times.

As Blue02GT was pretty much saying above. Its all in that first 60ft, Screw it up and you can forget about the other 1200+ feet.
