H or X pipe?

H or X pipe?
So, I'm looking at getting a mid-pipe when I get my exhaust (I wanna go with SLP Loudmouth Catback) and I was wondering the difference between a H pipe and X pipe, which one flows better, sounds better, etc. Also, I need to decide between catted and O/R? Thanks for any input.

And x-pipe will give more top end than a H-pipe will where the H-pipe lacks in top end it makes up for with more low end power. But the difference in hp is small around 2-3. so its more of a choose on sound kind adeal. the h-pipe gives the classic deep nasty muscle car sound and an x-pipe gives the more modern euro v8 nosie.
as fr off road or not i can tell ya from experience that the slp with offroad pipe is really really loud. I love loud but that **** was pull me over loud so i got rid of it. if it was me i would use a catted performace mid pipe with the slp catback.

i'd say if u don't want to swap an o/r h or x (don't matter) when it comes time for emission testing then stick with the catted.. unless u live in MI (at least one of the states i know of that does not have emisssions testing) then u could get away with the o/r version...

i have the SLP loudmouths and a magnaflow catted X. made a crappy recording with my mp3 player. the clip doesn't do it justice, sounds way better in person. anyway, it should give you an idea for what you want. http://dave.realns.com/vroom.WAV
