Default Steeda Underdrive pullies

Hey i had a quick question.... the steeda pullies which come in 3 pieces... well the smallest one... i was told that u dont really have to install it?... is this true...?!?!??! cause my friend has them too but he was told it dosent really matter that it only drains ur battery.. and more if u have a radio system... is this true?!?!?! can anyone let me know a.s.a.p..!!?!?!?!?! thanks alot

that would be the alternator pulley. It makes the alternator turn slower, and thus not recharging the battery as efficiently as stock. The problems probably wouldn't show through except for at idle, but unless you have a massive sound system and other power-draining accessories, and weak battery, you really shouldn't have a problem anyway. It is true that you do not HAVE to install it as part of the kit if you are concerned about battery drainage. Be advised that the same thing happens with the water pump as well. The water pump will turn slower and while idling you could potentially experience warmer temperatures and more likely to overheat if everything is not in proper running order or you have upgrades that makes your engine run hotter. Just something to think about.

Thanks alot homie! yea i do got a big system.. thats why i was concernabout it and because i might get them install tamorrow...!!!!
