Ok so I just bought some used Bassani headers for my mustang 04. Is there anything that you reccomend replacing? Like the gaskets, or anything else? Here is the link to the page

You will need Bassani's X-pipe or have one made to fit,Header gaskets and O2 extensions or MIL eliminators depending on whether you use cats or not.Installation for these or any other headers are a major PITA.To be able to get to the header bolts and reliably torque them down you pretty much have to remove the K-member.To give you some idea of the cost I started the job in my driveway.After about four hours of trying to get the old manifolds off (and setting myself on fire with a cuttin' torch) I gave up and had the car towed to the Ford garage.It took four techs six hours to put them on.They only charged me for two of the techs but the final cost was $620.I just don't have all the tools needed to remove the K-member and raise the engine at the same time.The techs have installed these headers before and were worried that they were prone to leak but I have had no problems.I would say that the four piece design of each header has something to do with this.Getting ALL the head bolts properly torqued is probably the key.I am completly satisfied with them and they still look great.

 

well buy the MIL eliminators! cause i have an 03 GT x with cats n bassani catback, and the check engine light , came on yesterday! so i gotta wait till it gets here! but had a ford tech check it out n said its my exhuaust and i need some MIL's. so just fair warning
