cam or heads?

Default cam or heads?

i waswonderin if i just got a cam or i just got heads will that be bad for the engine if i just have one or the other an not both?

you can port your stock heads and run stock cams and it will be fine.

Or you can get CAMS and run stock heads and be fine. out of those two i would do a set of cams from a company you like like crane,comp,VT engines etc...

and in case you didnt see our cars are SOHC meanign we have one cam per side of the motor aka 2 cams.

Cams are the last thing you do after you have done everything else.Exhaust,intake,S/C or turbos,and heads.This way you don't keep buying different cams to optimize the mods you are putting on the car.My plan is to do all the bolt on's and then have the heads ported and set up with cams and springs as a package deal.Unless you have the funds to buy many sets of cams,wait untill you have a clear idea of what you are going to do with the engine before getting cams.
