I'm getting detonation. I tryed different gas I installed stock program back in computer and kept running 93 octane and still have detonation. only mods are 4.10s k&n filter and catback. any help would be appreciated as i just bought a n20 kit but now i'm afraid to install thanks

 

What year car and how many miles on it?

Yup. Get to the bottom of this before going on the spray. I suspect you may have some carbon build up. I would Sea Foam the sucker as it is a cheap, simple fix if it works. You also may have problems with your plugs or ignition system. If you are not getting a good spark, then you would get detonation too.

02 with 40,000 miles i just bought it 6 mo ago so maybe i take in for a tune up and see what happens. what is seafoam.
