stock gears??

Default stock gears??

i just got my speedcal in the mail and it seems pretty easy to install...the only thing im unsure about is what my stock gears are?? I have a 1997 mustang gt, automatic...does anybody know the stock gear reatio for this car??? thanks

3.27 is stock gearing.
actuly in that car i think they also came with 3.08 ring and piion as well as my freinds auto 95 did.

okay...i think your right with the 3.27's...i thought it was around there but wasn't positive...the reason your buddies was a 3.08 was probably because the 95's are 5.0's and not 4.6's....

There should be a metal tab that is on the dif. cover that has stamped on it the gear ratio. It will have x308xxx, or x327xxx or something like that. Just climb down there and look.

no no no 3.08! just play check your door on your car. it will tell you what it is! My car has 3.08 in it. Its a 1997GT auto too, but i can drop the top on it! and go 14.1/98mph in the 1/4mile
