I need help (intake and check engine light)

I have an 05 V6 stang and i just recently got a bbk cold air intake. After i installed it, my engine light came on. Any reason why? How can i either get rid of the problem. Any advice or info would be great

you need a tune and ive seen some BBK cai that state you don't need a tune. If you got one that says it doesn't then you didn't install it right
