Default x-pipe & check engine light

I have installed a bassani x-pipe on my 03 gt and it only has the rear two cats. I am getting a check engine code the says the front two cats are faulty. I know that they are not there. My question is: will mil elinators work for the front two cats?

From all the info out there on MIL eliminators...I would say yes, but I know the newer stangs have computers that aren't tricked by the MIL eliminators. They worked on my 98. Did your check engine light come on immediately after the new exhaust install? After I went cat-less it took 3 months before the light came on. I kept disconnecting the battery to clear the code until I broke down and bought MIL eliminators.

The check engine light came on about a week after driving the car.

do you have mil eliminators in the back o2 spots? If so then more than likely your computer is calling BS on the false readings, so it's throwing the code.

I would try to put Mil's in the back or you can get a http://www.cjponyparts.com/sct-x3-po...-2013/p/XCAL3/ and just have the rear O2s shut off in the tune.

Placing the mils in the rear would shut of the problem with the front cats issue, once the computer has been tuned? It is the front two cats that are throwing the codes not the rear two. Please elaborate on that. Thanks for the lead on that tuner I am definitely going to purchase one, just wasn't sure which one to go with.

ahh sorry I miss read that, ok I would still get the tuner as you will need it down the road for other mods. So you are getting a CEL on the front cats, do you still have the codes that's being thrown?
