Exhaust combos are a personal preference to which is best.I love my setup while someone with say Mac,SLP,Flowmaster will love thiers too.Changing the tips will not effect the sound that much, but you will probally have to have them welded in.

I've got JBA shorty's , bbk off road x p ipe and amercan series flowmasters, sounds awesome, added some good power too, not as much as longtubes but in 20 min I can strap my stokc h pipe off and use my predator andother 10 min and go pass emissions. I like shorty's for my daily drivers but if power and torque are desired, longtubes are definatly the way to go, my headers didn't see a gain I don't think till around 4000rpm, kinda crappy considering the powerband but none the less made more peak power and sounded nicer than stock manifolds I just wouldbn't buy mac, I would do some research but I have heard horror stories about them anybody hear that?

For an X-Pipe you cant go wrong with SLP. Modular X-Pipes in stainless steel rock.

As far as catbacks go, For my car im leaning more towards a Magnaflow exhaust than anything else.

Im glad someone knows what they are talkin about lol. JK, It is all personal pref. Go to some mustang meets and listen and ask a few questions to find what you like before you buy. What you and the next guy like can be two very different things.

My set up is VERY loud, and quite like a machine gun in metal duct work at about 2800 rpms WOT. AND I LOVE IT!

Might be getting that exhaust sooner than expected! Turns out the tranny wasnt shot after all, the Clutch was! All the synchros are fine, so I just had a King Cobra put in w/ a Steeda Adjustable Clutch Kit and all is well. Next up, 4.10's
