crankshaft sensor
#2
On my v6 is was located on the front of the engine right next to the crankshaft pulley. It is a tiny little magnet that is supposed to never need changing but of course it does every now and then. It looks like it is almost touching the pulley but it really isn't. You'll also be able to follow the wires to it. It was held on by two screws and a wire harness

just behind the AC compressor on the front passenger side, on the side of the motor near the crank snout. There's only 1 sensor around there. There's a reluctor (trigger) wheel on the crank snout inside the front cover that the sensor reads.
