Default 04 Cobra Question?

I just purchased a 2004 cobra. i was wondering if any1 could give me an estimated HP on the engine.. the upgrades are a 2.81 pulley on the supercharger, off road xpipe with borla stingers, and a BBK cold air intake kit. i know it has 390 stock, but i havent taken it to a dyno.. anybody able to make a close estimate?

it's probably making 400-425 at the tires if it's been properly tuned and maintained. Possibly a little bit more possibly a little bit less but that should be close.

390 is what the factory rated the Termy's at at the crankshaft and it was a damned sight of an understatement as most of them dyno somewhere in the 360+rwhp range stone stock which figures to around 425bhp out of the box as a starting point. More often I've seen them slap down 365-380rwhp which puts a true estimate of factory delivered power at 400-450bhp depending on the specific car.

I would say in the 420-425 range.

If it's been Dyno tuned you will be around 450rwhp.

Guys 420-425 can be done without a pulley swap.

With about the same mods as his mine did over 450.

we know lance... I was being conservative. Don't want him going to a dyno and making 430 and being all pissed off.

congrats on the Cobra!

So do you have any kind of a tune on your car? Just asking because that's a lot of change with no tune. Heck, just doing a cold air intake, cat back, and mid pipe on my mach 1 put the air to fuel ratio waaaaaaay out of whack.

check out my sig, and i have less mods (i have fully stock exhaust) so you should be in the 450-460rwhp range. Driving a pullied car around untuned is bad news, exp it being a 2.8. So your car might have a tune from a handheld. Does the trac control turn off when u start the car?
